“ The location on top of the mountain provided spectacular views and cool mornings even in July. I would suggest putting a medium sized skillet in the house to use with the convection hot plate. The fridge may need checking also. It took most of three days to cool down. Overall this is a great rental which I think was an outstanding value. I would definately stay here again.”

“To start, the check in/out instructions David sends prior to arriving are extremely helpful and well written to find the location of the cabin! It’s truly the perfect spot for a weekend (or week) to disconnect. The view was breathtaking. The house was extremely clean and smelled like a log cabin. I loved how roomy the loft was as I’m usually not able to sit up in bed without hitting my head (I’m 5’8”). For a tiny house, everything felt roomier. “Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia.”

“The back yard made the stay wonderful. It is definitely the focal point and rightfully so. It is gorgeous and serene just to sit on the swing and watch the koi fish. The house is nice as well, although i did find several" hair balls"of rather long hair in the kitchen and bathroom. Along with a used dental stick on the bathroom floor. Margaret also gave us a 2 minute notice that she was coming over to mow the yard which i thought was rather intrusive when we were leaving this morning. We……

“Great location! Close to town with other fun nearby locations to visit. - The town is nice and feels like Mayberry. - There are nice state parks that run along the river all the way to the Virginia border with hikes to the nearby mountains and rivers which my kids (8 and 12) loved doing. - The river also has public access pretty close to town which was clearly a local watering hole which I preferred to an ocean beach. “If you ever wanted to just test drive having your own mountain home, this is the place! It really feels like home, has coffee & washing powders already, even charcoal & lighter fluid.
