If you're not prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to worry. Follow these useful tips for a pain-free start to your holiday in Montreuil-Bellay. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
