We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Oksbol before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
