A small hotel in a great location. The room was simple, clean, comfortable, and close to everything, making it easy to explore Florence on foot. Roberto, who is at the front desk is kind, welcoming and extremely helpful, taking the time to suggest must see places on a map. My son and I enjoyed our stay.

Great staff and beautiful room with a huge balcony. The hotel is perfectly situated within the city center, so everything is accessible. We were able to do a very late check in with no issue, and the staff remained very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire stay. Will absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting Florence.

The property was in the perfect location for exploring the city. The air conditioning and room size were great. The man in charge is awesome as well. There are little amenities here and the stairs are daunting but otherwise it’s a great budget stay!

Hotel Esperanza was a great location in Florence and was very close to the main tourist attractions. The owner and staff were very nice and considerate. He communicated well about the property, town, and gave us recommendations to also visit. Definitely visit My Bakery for delicious treats that are freshly made, Novella Osteria Toscana and its neighbor restaurant were both delicious and authentic with friendly and attentive service. The only thing was that there was no elevator and there were many stairs to get to my room. But again, the staff helped my family and me as much as they could to make it easier on us. Hotel Esperanza had a great location, staff, air-conditioned room, amenities and accommodations. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the Florence area.

Staff was extremely helpful, including holding luggage after check-out until later in the day and arranging transportation to the train station. Beds were comfortable. Be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to reception upon arrival. After hours arrival was easy to coordinate. Had three rooms for our party - one of the rooms did not have very good AC, while the other two it was fine.

Loved our stay here! The location is amazing, walking distance to EVERYTHING. The staff is so incredible, helped us get our very heavy luggage up the stairs, provided a map and spent time with us marking out all the best places to go nearby. It is also a great value for the money, I would definitely stay here again.

Esperanza is conveniently located near many sites and lots of good places to eat. It is especially fun to be able to say we stayed at the intersection of purgatory and inferno:) The air conditioning was OK, but being a wall unit, it did not do any dehumidification - a common drawback in European hotel rooms. The shower had issues and only worked partially. We lived with it but were told it had been broken a while and though we were there multiple days, no effort was made to fix it during our stay. The staff member who met us was friendly and pointed out the best places for gelato on a map the hotel provided. Overall, quite acceptable - but not outstanding.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was clean, spacious and it seemed to be recently remodeled. We arrived earlier than check in time and were able to leave our luggages. The room is about a 10 minute walk to the duomo. The area is quiet and still has a lot of restaurants/shopping around.

Highly recommend. Very central location, very nice staff, and rooms are very modern and well maintained. If they had a laundry service it would have made it perfect. Note that there is a flight of stairs that you need to climb to get to the front desk and rooms, so if that is a problem you may want to consider something else. Otherwise don't you don't need to look further.

Hotel reception was extremely helpful carrying my luggage up and down the stairs and directing me around the city. They were also very good to reply to emails. The room was quite small but all I needed. An extra blanket in the room is the only thing I would suggest for improvement. Thank you so much for providing me a safe and comfortable place to stay.

It was clean and lovely except we were on the top floor, 65 stairs was just to much. We were aware that there would be no lift avalialable but had no idea getting to and from our room would be that extreme especially carrying luggage. We were offered help upon arrival but upon departure reception was not open yet, so we were on our own.
