"For our stay in Cinque Terre we chose the town of Vernazza and had an outstanding stay at the Camere Giuliano Basso. Heed the advice and pack lightly, or plan on leaving a portion of your luggage in a luggage storage area near the main office, as there are many steps to get to the room. However, once you are there the climb is very much worth it. The rooms are actually small cottages reconstructed to resemble cottages from medieval times. The interior space consists of a room with a bed, and then a large bathroom area. It was very comfortable, and the setting made it special. Outside the room there was a patio with tables and chairs, from which you could view the picturesque main street of Vernazza, all the way to the ocean beyond. It was a great place to catch a sunset, and to just relax at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Camere Giuliano Basso if you are traveling to Cinque Terre."

Compared to the other 12 properties I stayed at during this trip they request way too many forms and their ask for a high deposit is also out of line. "We had to change last minute, our accommodation in Vernazza because we realized the first place we booked was too far from the village. I'm so glad we found this place! It was four minutes to the train station, centrally located, so quaint to walk over the bridge to the apartment. The place was spacious and delightful. Would highly recommend."

"The property was in a great location for exploring the 5 Villages. The apartment was a good size for 6 adults. A bottle of Prosecco and cookies and bottles of water was a nice surprise on arrival. The provided breakfast was small boxes of cereal, packaged croissants , oranges, and packaged toast with individual Nutella and jam. There was also coffee pods and tea. Milk had to be purchased at the local supermarket. There are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment and then the stairs in the apartment were very steep. This could be a problem if you have larger luggage or any mobility issues. There are 2 bathrooms. A hairdryer was provided. Only soap in one bathroom and no hand towel so we contacted Marco. We didn’t find a hand towel but we found more soap. In the kitchen we only found a hand soap container , no dish soap. Marco said it was under the sink but we never found it.? We loved the balcony and sitting area in the roof. It provided a great view, especially for sunset. On the Friday night the restaurant below our room had very loud music playing until midnight. The windows were vibrating. Luckily no music on the Saturday night. We were disappointed that the washer was broken and was not available for our use. Marco did apologize when asked about it and said the earliest we could get it was our last night. Marco replied to our questions fairly quickly. Overall, it was a great stay and we would recommend staying here."

"A great room with wonderful view and a very comfortable bed. All rooms are small in the village, but the village is one of the 2 best places in cinque terra. Lots of exercise because of the stairs. No breakfast, but the village has plenty of restaurants"
