The room was excellent. Big and comfortable with everything you’d need. The pub itself is quite run down and they don’t serve breakfast midweek which wasn’t confirmed at booking. Forest Row itself has a few places to eat but it’s not a place for more than a night. That being said I think I’d take another single night there in the future for the good location for travel in the area, comfy room and cheap price.

The guy that checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful but rest of staff weren’t, any questions we asked were answered with don’t know! The room was ok the carpet smelt and the blinds on the windows didn’t work. The shower gel was empty and didn’t get filled up while we were there. Our room was right next to the fan for the kitchen so there was a horrible smell and was noisy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

No Breakfast available It was in the hot period of our summer, there is no air conditioning just a fan that was pointless, with the windows open it was very noisy, although they did supply ear plugs which was a giveaway.. I only got 3 hours sleep…

Good sized room and bathroom. Surprisingly quiet as it is on the main road. Only problem was that they have stopped serving breakfast - only brunch after 12 noon. The local cafes were OK but only offered cooked breakfast items; for yoghurt, croissants etc it had to be Tesco next door.

As we arrived to check in the lady was lovely and took us to our room and explained if we needed anything to let her know, which was a lovely. The room was unique as it is in a pub and it did have an en-suite with a shower. The only down side is the sink is low down and you can hit your head on the shelf that is attached to the mirror. We did not try the breakfast But overall we had a great stay.

Its a pub with rooms, bit tired around the edges. Good food in bar. Not great if you are unsready on your feet as old building and uneven floors in the rooms. Access out of pub hours not easy via a very hard to open fire exit to a rear yard and down a narrow set of metal stairs, wouldnt fancy it in the dark. Need to take more care cleaning as trod on glass in the bathroom. As i started its pub with rooms and overpriced for what it is.

My wife stayed here for two nights and it was awful. No food being served in the restaurant as there was a local food festival on. Yet no prior information given prior to arrival that food was unavailable. Very loud music until 11.30 at night…so both hungry and unable to sleep. Staff downstairs at the bar too busy/uninterested to provide any help. Room was fairly grotty although the linen was at least clean. The place does not seem to be at all well set up to run as a pub with rooms that are pleasant to stay in. It was a very busy noisy pub and those staying in rooms are an afterthought. Awful…best avoided
