This was our last hotel out of 8 for our road trip. The bed was very comfortable and the waffles in the morning were great fun for the kids. It was very expensive given the condition compared to all our other hotels of the same rating. The door was so stiff you could barely move it. The door did not have a bug screen either. The view is barely a sea view too. It was just a bit of a let down after a series of really excellent rooms.

The drive up the hill is good but the mirror needs to be cleaned as its a blind spot in the curve to go up the hill. Also, the carpeted flooring in the bedroom needs updating as it has a musty smell. Overall, we love the ocean view in our room and also the breakfast is included in our stay which makes it very convenient.

Great location if you want to spend a lot of time at the beach: Pudding Creek Beach is just across the highway. Meanwhile, downtown Fort Bragg is only a few minutes away by car. While the hot breakfast was good, my favorite thing about this property has to be the landscaped grounds surrounding the hotel buildings. It's called "Vista Manor" because the property overlooks the ocean and the creek (see photos). Families with children: note that there are broad grassy yards for kids to run around, and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds, so you can sit and enjoy the view.
