Meets the basics but has a lot of potential

The room was not ready at the time we were told we could check in. The front desk is limited in what they can do because of separate management and cleaning company. We contacted management by email (no phone number was ever provided). We got a call back to say the room was being cleaned and they’d let us know when it was ready. We never received a call back. When we returned it was ready but obviously it was not extensively cleaned but was acceptable enough. The room is very barren. It meets the basics but could use some sprucing up to have a more welcoming atmosphere. There were no wash cloths or dish towels provided and no extra blankets for the beds. The refrigerator was small for the size of room and number of people. The living room area has 2 great windows but one side had a bolted shade so it could not be opened to let the light in. The master bedroom has a nice little balcony but that window shade was broken and could not be opened either leaving the room dark. That all being said, this place has so much potential. Adding some decor, providing more necessities and fixing some of the maintenance issues would help to make it more comfortable. The staff at the front desk and valet were helpful and friendly. The location is great being so close to the boardwalk and restaurants. The rooftop pool area is great and once the bar/grill is open it will increase the attraction especially for sunsets. Overall we found it to be an average place to stay but hope it continues to build up and be a great option for the area.
