This is an old character building that needs some upkeep such as the water damage on 2 of the ceiling panels in the dining room . The mattress was worn out and had something polking out The proximity to the rail / bus station was great. Shout out to Connie in the dining room for good service.

Very old and run down hotel, general smell of mould throughout the hotel. Lift regularly malfunctioned, daily occurrence of people being stuck, limit to 2 people and then changed to 1 person. Lack of maintenance throughout. Convenient location. Dining room staff helpful, reception staff rude at times.

Would not allow check in before 3 pm. Room was warm even though the hearing wasn’t on. Clean room. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Can’t beat the location and good value for money.

The room was nice and reasonably recently refurbished so no complaints there. However noise from the floor above and the corridor was loud. They were strict about no early check-ins (even 30 minutes was a no-go). Reception staff were abrupt and snappy (which was a huge contrast to the Nethybridge Hotel, where we stayed last week, which is owned by the same Strathmore chain). Outside our 1st floor room which looked over the ground floor roof there was lots of litter including discarded drink bottles and a pair of men’s underpants and cleaners would easily notice this.

All the rooms facing the inside of the building open up to a very dirty, smelly roof covered in bird droppings. Made opening the window undesirable. Rooms were too hot, with no way to regulate the temperature.

Small elevator for 5 story building and it broke. Then the power was out in half the building and we had no hot water. Breakfast was average at best. Few fruit, yogurt and pastry options. I guess that is why they had last minute availability. At least the room was clean and the staff were nice.

Hotel could definitely use a but love and investment put into it. The hotel has an unique scotland feel old feel to it, which I like when its maintained well, but unfortunately it is not. The shower was broken and leaking to the floor. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room with no radiators running was strangely very hot. I enjoyed the breakfast and staff were friendly. The room was clean. Just needs maintenance work on the place to get it feel like you are getting your money's worth.

We love the location! Parking was easy with several choices. However, if you arrive early, you can get a parking spot right at the hotel. Other parking options are five and 10 minutes away and you have to pay for those, they would’ve held our bags for us, but we did not need it. So, we parked there and took the train to Malaig for check-in time. The not a good part was that the mattress was very old in the springs compressed right down without cushion! It did make sleep difficult! In the morning, lots of places to eat close by the hotel. Check out as easy! The staff were wonderful! The room is clean and we used the Wi-Fi. Thank you so much!

Great location bang in the centre of Fort Wiliam with easy walking access to the train station, 24hr laundromat, supermarkets. And for me, a minute's walk to the hospital. Great views to the Loch and Glens.

Excellent Hotel ideally located within 5 minute walk of Fort William railway station. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Very impressive self service breakfast with everything well prepared and cooked. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
