Beautiful setting, but very formal annd old school. Staff not nearly as polished as what we saw in Edinburgh hotel experience. Also, food not nearly up to the hype, but kind of expected in such a country location.

We stayed in the gatehouse with our daughter. While the house was clean it had certainly seen better days. Soft plaster on the kitchen ceiling from a leak. Old kitchen cupboards, door etc. Quite loud along the road. The property is quite stunning with a very mature forest. The staff were excellent especially the young Australian women in the dining room. Great location.

It is an amazing place - beautiful - our suite (queen’s suite) was incredible. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. The food is incredible- highly recommend their amazing dinner service. This our second time staying there and we will come back next year.

Our stay at Inverlochy Castle was the highlight of our two week London/Scotland trip! The grounds were beautiful, so definitely walk all the paths! The castle had a lovely sitting room for after dinner drinks. The pub down the road was the best meal I had in the two weeks- very fresh vegetables and salad. The salad dressing was delicious! All of the staff was exceptional and really made my daughter feel special during our stay as she was the youngest guest during our stay. I would definitely stay again! We miss it already!

Our stay was largely a disappointment. We paid $800 a night and expected an experience commensurate with with the price. This place did not deliver. The staff is pompous rather than accommodating. The building had issues. The men’s bathroom plumbing does not work well. There are holes in the floor and the toilet doesn’t flush. In our room (we were there for 4 days:nights) they never replaced our coffee and tea service. They turned down the bed but ignored everything else. And then when checking out we were prompted to leave a tip while the person was watching us. Turns out the tip (we left a 10% tip which is good in Scotland) was for the ROOM and the meals. I have NEVER paid a tip for a room before. This was an incredibly expensive and disappointing experience. The “Michelin” starred restaurant headed up by a “celebrity chef” who shows us twice a year (Roux) was an over priced ($250 US pp) scam. In summary, there are way better ways to enjoy Ben Nevis
