Nice hotel in a wonderful area, walking distance to Xintiandi Foshan and a 15 min taxi ride to Furniture City. The hotel room is very spacious, comfortable bed and nice shower. Excellent service and breakfast. I will return.

The staff of the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful and it is super consistent in terms of the staff attitude of willing to walk for an extra mile to help the guests. This is the hotel I strongly recommend to stay in Foshan

The staff was very accommodating to help an English only speaking guest. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, great pillows and comforters and the housekeeping staff was great. The restaurant served very good food.The room was a bit musty, but I think it is the nature of the moist climate and that they possibly turn off the ac when the rooms are not in use. There is great shopping within blocks of the area. I will certainly return.

This property advertises itself as new but it's the old Marco Polo with some renovations. Location is the best thing as it's a few steps from Lingnan. But the rooms are small, old and not very comfortable. Balconies are nice but have no furniture. Bathroom wasn't very clean and was also very small. For the price we have stayed in much better 5 star hotels in similar cities so value for money is not there. Would stay there again only if I need/want to be in the area as it is the nicest in town.

Enjoyed Staying at Cordis Foshan

I enjoyed staying at Cordis, Foshan. This was my second experience there. Appreciate that they gave me a complementary upgrade to the top floor. Overall, everything is still perfect. I would still strongly suggest that they setup a small business center with a few desktop computers, printer, etc. for the convenience of guests. (Their sister hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong has kiosk for such purpose. I stayed there before coming to Foshan. It does not involve much overhead and will bring convenience to guests. Please learn from your sister hotel for continuous improvement.)

The description of the hotel on hotel.com is totally misleading . It said the hotel is “connected to a shopping mall”. but its NOT true . The mall is near the hotel by crossing the streets but not connected! The room is old and the facilities like the pool , gym are pretty run down. the hotel definitely needs total refurbishment .
