  • Get away and bring everyone together. At just 60 minutes from Chicago you can do both. This big lake home is modern with a rustic twist, blending updated amenities and a wide open floor plan. Can’t find someone? Check the multi-tiered deck, because they’re probably relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake. Everyone will have plenty of space to hang together or spread out. You’re also walking distance from El Puerto for some lakeside Mexican dining, music and margaritas! When you’re feeling adventurous, rent a boat at nearby Jet Fun rentals and head on over to Blarney Island, the floating bar in the middle of Grass Lake. We also have a recommendation for a fantastic fishing guide that will pick you up at our dock. If not outdoors swimming, fishing, boating or laying the sun enjoy some time in the second family room. It’s complete with a pool table, air hockey, ping pong, arcade games and another smart TV. So lay back, put your feet up, and relax!

This place was fabulous. The porch and lower deck were perfect for dinners and hanging out. Each room was clean, had good sound proofing and comfortable. It had everything my friends and I wanted for a lovely lake getaway. Only nitpick is boats were a little noisy, but that is nothing the owner could control so still great review. I texted them for help and they were immediately available to help. Very kind.

Another great stay

This is our 2nd time staying here and it is perfect for our annual getaway with friends (2 families with teens). Very clean and has everything you need! We were very happy with our stay (again) and we will continue to book here!

Beautiful views, great space

House was clean, welcoming and well set up. We loved our visit, even though it was November, and the weather wasn’t great. Such a great getaway, with more than enough room for us to enjoy a weekend away.

Wonderful lake House to get away to

This house had tons of space and amenities for us to unwind and relax. Very cozy and spacious throughout and tons of natural light. Hosts are great communicators and made everything easy.

We loved this lake house! So charming and comfortable! The deck and view was incredible! The kitchen was fully stocked. And so many fun extras like video games and pool table-we will definitely come back here again!

Family Vacation

This is the second year we came to this house. It's always perfectly clean! The stay is amazing every time. They redid the stairs outside which was great! We rented a pontoon and they let us use their donut. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully, we can do this again next year!

Very roomy and comfortable

Check in was easy, very roomy. Nice owners. Plenty of towels, and blankets. We booked it because of the pool table and games, but if you are a serious pool player you will be disappointed. Uneven table and two sides too close to wall to shoot balls. Beds are very comfortable. Nice bathrooms. Love having choice of coffee pots. Big farm table to eat as a family. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Location; Lovely Home

Four adults and three kiddos had plenty of room and LOTS of fun. Jumping off the pier and the swim mat were a huge hit. We also really enjoyed a campfire on the deck. There was plenty of wood provided. The house is clean and has enough space that everyone could find a spot for a little down time. Bring your own beach towels, but there are life vests in all sizes available. Be prepared to sweep away cobwebs outside, but that definitely shouldn't spoil your stay. We had a wonderful time. A big thank you to the hosts for sharing their home with us.

Great experience - Highly recommend!

This property was perfect for our needs, and the owners are amazing. Starting with the owners, the communication was great, and they were very accommodating and available for our questions and needs. For example, our checkout ended up being slightly delayed because of a few different reasons (one of which was because of an unexpected road closure due to an accident), and the owners were very understanding and flexible without any hassle whatsoever. The house is great, and as described. We all loved the game room, and there is a lot of space for all kinds of recreational activity, and privacy when needed. Kitchen and other parts of the house was stocked for all of our needs. The deck is a good size, and also offers great opportunities and space to hang out. We rented a pontoon boat for the one whole day from nearby place, and it was really nice having our own private pier. Overall, great place, with great owners, resulted in a wonderful experience for my family. Highly recommend!

Excellent property with plenty of indoor space and a beautiful view of the lake. Great shade trees, a large upper deck and a lower medium size deck to enjoy the outdoors. Moderate steps to the lake and the dock with chairs at the waters edge to enjoy the lake up close. All 4 bedrooms had comfortable beds with pleasant decor and all amenities as listed. We enjoyed our stay and had great communication with our host. Would definitely go back.

Great place!

The house is spacious and has plenty to do even on a rainy day. Loved having a dock for our boat and for swimming off of! They had everything we needed and more for a great holiday!

Enjoyable stay @ the lake!!!!

Lake house was relaxing and spacious. My family and I enjoyed every minute. The view of the sunset was breathtaking. Owners were easily accessible. Will recommend this location to family and friends. My family will definitely return in the near future.

Perfect family vacation!

We had a family reunion with 9 of us and it was the perfect getaway. Great indoor and outdoor spaces to relax, eat, cook, play games and hang out. Private dock was fun for some fishing. We enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores. The house is walking distance to restaurants and a brewery. We even got lucky with an amazing fireworks show on our last night which we enjoyed from the dock. Kelly provided us with detailed helpful information prior to our stay and was super responsive. I would definitely recommend this property - wonderful weekend!

Balanced & Honest

Spent 2 days here with family and friends. The house itself is spacious—perfect if you’re coming with kids and need extra room to play and relax. The view? Absolutely beautiful and definitely the highlight of the stay. That said, the place could really use a deep clean. We found a lot of dead bugs and spider webs, especially in the kitchen area, and the grill looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Overall, I’d give it 3 stars—great potential with a stunning location, just needs much better upkeep.

Location is awesome. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Proximity to Jet Funn is perfect. We were able to rent a pontoon with a tube and a jet ski and pick up the family at the house. Then safely enjoy them in the cove just around the bend. Coming back for lunch then returning. Lots of games for the family to enjoy in the house. Open spaces to lounge and relax inside and outside. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. Great sunsets!! Would recommend and likely returning next summer.

Awesome Spot

This place is HUGE! Everything was so clean and open, they had games available and a boat rental less than 5 minutes away which was perfect for fishing. Loads of Fishing poles and life vests. This place was perfect. The stairs outside the pier are a little wonky, but I think every lakehouse is like that. 100/100 would stay here again and recommend it to someone.
