“The house is a perfect place for a relaxing stay, near the water, and close to everything in the area, yet removed enough to feel like you're in the middle of the forest. John was excellent to communicate with, and we look forward to coming back in the future.”

“We had a quick over night stay at the cabin. I would definitely stay there again, it was an interesting place to stay. It was super quiet although the grounds seem like they are still in the midst of being renovated. The cabin was and clean and stocked with basic kitchen necessities. We liked the screened in porch and enjoyed the fire pit. There wasn’t a t.v., which was fine, just unexpected and there wasn’t a blind on one of the windows in the bedroom so hung a blanket and there wasn’t a……

“It was a very picturesque location. The cabin was simple and rustic. Its wonderful for heat, but no air-conditioning. There are plenty of fans. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower is a little tight, but to be expected with a cabin. The water pressure was ample. The furniture is of cabin quality and the lighting is sufficient. Its a great place to get away from the business of the world, but not if your looking for the amenities of a resort. I completely enjoyed my stay there……

“Fine for others I’m sure but not our cup of tea with a baby especially having increased our budget to book this one. A little dirty and lots of bugs/spiders which is possibly due to a long time between guests. It was challenging for us to have only one cooling window unit in one of the bedrooms on a pretty hot weekend in the summer. Charming in the winter I’m sure.”

“It was a fine place to stay. The property is well kept and clean. The awkward things are: - It's missing a place to keep luggage/clothes...a dresser would be good - the kitchen could use better utensils and a microwave - the view is beautiful, but would be better if the windows had been cleaned more recently”

“Marlene’s cabin is in a perfect spot to get out and experience all the Berkshires has to offer. East Barrington not far south and North Adams a short drive to the north. There is nothing Marlene did not think of to make your stay a good one. Everything you would need is available in the cabin. The kitchen is perfect for enjoying some home cooked meals. My wife and I spent most of our days out and about but it was nice to come back to the cozy and quiet cabin. I highly recommend a stay here.”
