Located at the base of the Cullasaja River Gorge, 5 miles from Franklin, the Rivers Edge Cabin offers easy water access. 10 miles from Highlands, NC. Relax on the open deck to the sound of rushing mountain water or... better yet... jump in! The kitchen is open with a dining table and a bar area. It is outfitted with cookware, utensils, dishes, a coffee maker, a toaster, and more. The cabin is fully stocked with linens, bedding, towels, & blankets. The deck area has plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, gas grill cooking, or just relax by the water. The cabin has Wi-Fi and XM radio. The living area is equipped with a flat-screen TV (with Netflix and other streaming channels you can log into) and a DVD player with an assortment of movies. There are also two enclosed porch areas that are perfect for rainy days. Plus tubes, kayaks, and a fire pit! Experience the beauty of 3 waterfalls..... (Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, the Cullasaja Gorge) just a short distance from the cabin. Hike the many Nantahala Trails such as the Carolina Ridge and Ranger Fall Loop. Beautiful Cabin on the River

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. It is right on the river so we stayed on the deck most of the time we were at the cabin and listened to the river and watched and fed the geese and their babies as they swam by. Coffee in the mornings and reading on the deck was so relaxing while enjoying the river. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed to make it feel like home. We highly recommend this cabin.

My kids had a blast playing on the river all day!! We only stayed for 3 nights, but I'll definitely come back for longer next time!! I did check out early on a Sunday, so I brought the trash to the recycling center Saturday before they closed, a slight inconvenience, but I would'nt ding them for that.

Excellent Water Therapy

The house is cute and has everything needed for a relaxing and calming time. Being able to sit outside and listen to the water rushing by and taking a quick dip or raft, kayak trip was also a wonderful experience. My doggo also had a wonderful timne playing and he felt super relaxed in the space as well.

We were looking for a relaxing cabin on a river and THIS was the perfect place! 4 days of beauty right out the back door! Lovely cottage on the river

This charming cabin on the river was perfect for our 3-day stay in the Franklin area. Furnishings were comfortable and the cabin was cozy and warm during the cool evenings. The deck looked so inviting but the drizzly cold weather kept us from spending our evenings out there. Next time!

Great family get away

We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and perfect for us and 2 kids. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and caught a few trout. We enjoyed playing games at night and built a bon fire. The location was perfect. We were able to visit some nearby waterfalls and drove south to Tallulah falls and Clayton Georgia for a day as well!

Perfect cabin on the river

We had the best vacation ever! The cabin is simply precious and the river location is perfect for kayaking, tubing, fishing, and relaxing. We loved sitting on porch overlooking the river. Listening to the river at night was so peaceful. The manager and hosts were amazing and quick to make sure we had everything we needed for a special retreat. Our family can’t wait for a third trip to the cabin on cullasaja!

Short vacation

A weekend getaway for my husband and I at Rivers edge cabin. We went to Highlands, Dry Falls, and Franklin. Rivers edge is very peaceful, it was nice to sit on the back porch, drink coffee and listen to the water. Husband fished our first night in the river behind the cabin, and caught a bass! Nice place for relaxing, peace and quiet.

Comfy Cabin

Spent Thanksgiving with husband and daughter at this lovely cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Went horseback riding, spent time at Gold City Gem Mine nearby, and was just down the road from Dry Falls. Franklin nearby for lots of restaurants and shopping. House had everything needed for cooking. It was so very clean and inviting.

Fishing cabin

So, it was a very cold monday when I got there. Found the baseboard heaters and cabin was comfortable. This spot in the river is mesmerizing. It is an older, rustic cabin but was very comfortable, everything worked, and check-in and out was super easy. I'd definitely stay here again but would love to try it in the summer.

Fall Escape

This property is ideal. Right on the river. Can walk down and wade or sit in chairs at water. Minutes from Franklin. It does have neighbors across river and beside home but that didn’t take away from peaceful location.
