Anniversary Getaway

Property was not far from town, but away enough for it to feel secluded. There was plenty of wildlife roaming around, and property was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed hot tub and our stay at this cottage.

Very nice place to stay!! We would definitely stay here again! The only complaint we have is the bed.. it felt like a rock lol but probably because I don’t like a firm bed like that but over all we would still go back!

The property was clean and cozy. Everything was included for our stay. We both enjoyed seeing the deer out the back door and watching the deer come to the feeder at night. We hope to come again or stay in the new home to the left. Thank you

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is very nice. Small and cozy. Very clean, but no prep space in the kitchen. We stayed for four days and had thanksgiving giving there. It was difficult preparing the meal as there is absolutely no work space. No maid service unless you call. We had one dish cloth and one trash bag. If they know you are going to be there for an extended time there should be enough to last. The cabin was somewhat private, although on thanksgiving day we had people driving by on a side by side almost in the back yard. They are building two more very close, so privacy will be hard to come by. Our stay was nice , but would not stay there again.

A wonderful little get-away

This cottage is in the most lovely area....feels like the deep country but just about 8-10 minutes from Fredericksburg. The property is lovely, the full kitchen is a wonderful amenity for a multiple day stay. The mattress and pillows are pretty comfortable. There are only 3 little things that would have made it perfect for me: 1. Better cleaning of the floor/rugs....I found a couple candy wrappers under furniture and the rug could have used a good vacuum. 2. It would have been nice to have two wine glasses, but there was an assorted mix of glassware to use. 3. For sake of convenience, I would have preferred to use a coded access to the property versus going into town to pickup & drop off the key. However, these tidbits aside we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay....loved the humming birds, deer, and other wildlife to be seen the pastures around. It was so quiet and relaxing....the perfect get-away. I can certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for some downtime.

Could Have Been Better

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are repeat customers. The cabin was clean but was lacking in coffee mugs, and wine glasses (in wine country). We had no hangers in closet and only 1 small bar of soap to share for several nights. Housekeeping was prompt in providing hangers and a clean sponge for kitchen use. Primary issue is with the management company which should have informed us that there were construction crews working next door to our cabin upon making our reservations directly through them. We would have stayed in a different cabin having been there before. I stated I wanted privacy and quiet relaxation. Also, management was unable to send an E-Sig contract that I could sign due to their software. I emailed back an acknowledgment of receipt and review. Manager emailed back saying I would sign contract when getting the key at check in. Office person was unaware of any contract left for me to sign. Assumed my email acknowledgement was sufficient after all. Recently discovered property management has been emailing a contract for me to sign long after my checkout in December. Property left in immaculate condition with no follow up from anyone except wanting a post-visit signature on a contract long after the fact. Owners have a great location and we would come back again but would not recommend this cabin at present due to the construction next door. Otherwise, cabin comfort was fine along with the spa but our privacy and scheduling our time there was hampered by construction crews in the immediate area. When mentioned to the manager, she said sorry 'bout that and I'll let the owner know and again no contract offered to be signed in person. Understanding my concern of the construction crews next door, we were not offered a different cabin or other accommodation or consideration for the full price of the reservation, especially given my request for a quiet cabin with privacy booking and mentioning our disapointment over the construction and work crews.
