“Had we known this property was going through a remodel of some kind we never would’ve stayed. Staff really wasn’t friendly… breakfast wasn’t that good. No batter for the waffle maker… breakfast sausage definitely recooked/ overcooked. In comparison to the AmericInn we stayed at in Manitowoc last month which was a strong 9, this was a 4 and that’s being generous. It's not posted on Expedia that we are charged $250 authorization for incidentals versus the $100 they authorize others. I don’t mind using the stairs but when you load the dolly cart full and push it down the hallway to use the elevator it would be helpful if the staff tells you there is t an elevator upon checking you in on the second floor. “Room was comfortable, clean, quiet and well-maintained. I found the bed to be comfortable and I slept well. The location was convenient, especially with the laundromat across the parking lot. I worked early hours so I was unable to take advantage of the breakfast. The pool looked clean as well. Would stay again in the future.”

“The hotel is the vicinity of Grafton town. I feel very convenient as it is close to my company by only taking 10 mins ride. The hotel suite is so big, clean, tidy and confortable. Free wi-fi internet connection is provided, convenient for business traveler. However, the comparatively slow speed of Internet acces in that hotel should be improved. And the room along the highway seems a little bit noisy.”

“Heck in had no front desk. It was very difficult for my elderly parents who are not tech savvy. They had a very hard time getting g in the room. When they finally got in, the room was great. It was clean and had comfortable beds.”

“Very comfortable room and nice hotel . My only complaint is about Expedia! It’s impossible to have a live conversation if you have to make an adjustment to the reservation. The only option is a AI chatbot or a Chat with an agent after working your way through the Chatbot . Better to book directly with Holiday Inn Express. Even then, I couldn’t talk directly to the Hotel and could only talk to the corporate customer service representatives. But at least I could have a real conversation with them.”

“The pull out couch mattress was flat and disgustingly dirty. Staff did put a new mattress on top after a lot of discussion. My sister’s room would not lock and she had to move her things into my room every time we left. The outer door to the hotel also did not lock, so anyone could enter the hotel at any time. The “breakfast” was a choice of 2 cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, &/or a banana. With cheap, wrapped “pastries” on the side. Coffee (which ran out), juice or milk (which also ran out).……
