We loved our stay! The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. There were plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, and the air conditioning worked great. It was a beautiful and convenient place to stay for our trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Even though there was nobody physically on the premises, the management were very responsive and helpful. A lovely place very conveniently located two blocks from the ferry terminal. Highly recommended.

The location of Bird Rock is very convenient. Our room (2) was entered through their lower level and seems to back up to the grocery stores loading dock. Starting at 5 o’clock in the morning, there was constant loud truck noise, backing up, ramps being lowered and raised, and boxes being moved around making it impossible to sleep after 5 o’clock in the morning. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because of the location, but the specific room is really important to consider!

Spent a couple nights at the Bird Rock Hotel, we stayed in the Salt Spring Suite. Large room, with a small kitchenette, small living room and a cute little outdoor seating area. The only complaint I have is there was no bathroom counter space. Pedestal sink with no room for my blow dryer or make up. Dining table close by for my bathroom items. I definitely recommend this suite and would definitely book again.

Never stayed in a remotely managed hotel before. Amenities limited: no bottled water, no closet, no chair in the room. Not ADA adaptable - jacuzzi tub/shower that was difficult for us to get into. Staff brought two grab bars for shower and that helped. Room not cleaned or bed made on the second night we were there. Very expensive for a bathroom with a bed in it.

Unique hotel with some quirks. Great location, walkable to downtown and all the restaurants. Staff is friendly and responsive. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed in a room that had a shared bathroom; and it seemed like quite a few of the rooms were sharing. One of the showers has not very much room and the curtain really hugs you.

While it was a very charming, clean, comfortable and a great located hotel in Friday Harbour, our room sat on the back of the hotel, overlooking a grocery store unloading doc, that had bright lights shining through the window all night long (You need black out curtains). At 5am in the morning the first delivery was made with of course lots of banging and the beeping of the truck's back up warning. I would only stay here again if it WAS NOT the Spieden - (1st Floor) Room # 7. The hotel did provide canceling noise ear buds, but they didn't work. I'm so grateful that we only stayed one night.
