"This hotel is a disaster, first we had to drag our luggage over a kilometer UPHILL in the mountains from the train station.
No mention of this ahead of time. No public transport to the hotel!
Once we got there the reception was cold and unfriendly. I mentioned that it would have been helpful to know that we would have to walk (in the rain, but not their fault) to the hotel. She just said that most people who stay there have cars.
I’ve been traveling in Europe a lot and only rarely have a rental car. The trains, busses etc are usually terrific!!
Anyway, the room was very dated and shabby. I found a used face mask under the bed…. Gross!
But the view was gorgeous, I suppose they think that that was enough.
Breakfast was okay but nothing like the other hotels where we have stayed.
Also, the outside steps and walkways were broken and falling down, they did look like they might be doing some repairs but never saw anyone working and they didn’t give any alternative routes to enter the reception area.
Before arriving in Switzerland we prepaid for 3 nights here…but wanted to leave right away. They would not give us any money back or cancel our reservation. I get it but they were very rude about it. We ended up staying 2 of our 3 nights but couldn’t stay there for another one. We just gave up a $400/night room bc it was SO terrible.
Run!!! Do not stay here. You’ll be disappointed."
