"Very nice stay at Amazing beach hotel! Staff are exceptional and made the experience much more enjoyable for me and my family. Property kept well. Perfect for solo travelers but even for a small family. Restaurants very close with good food. Waking up to the view of the beach was incredible. Highly recommend, I would definitely return myself! A+👌
⚠️ A word of warning the Property only accept cash, so you will have to pay for your stay at the reception, not through Expedia or any other booking...

"I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel owner. We paid $2,700 for what was clearly sold to us as a 3-day tour, but after payment it was suddenly reduced to only 2 days with no proper explanation or refund.
To make matters worse, we were left at the airport without any transportation arranged, despite this being part of what was discussed. Since then, the owner has ignored our messages and refused to respond or take responsibility.

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area.
I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"Flott sted for de som ønsker det personlig, og litt rolige omgivelser. Julia og de andre ansatte er fantastiske mennesker som virkelig fikk deg til å føle deg velkommen."

"Arrived late and were greeted by staff who even made us a meal despite the late hour. Room was tired, scuffy with stained cushions. Pillows had dried blood and mold stains so needed changing immediately, which was done. Ours was meant to be Delux Garden View, we had a corridor view through front window and a brick wall view through seriously cement stained back window so we didn't open curtains during our time there. The hot water either scalding or freezing, nothing in-between. The WiFi was off...

"Property was ok with good location. Soft furnishings within the complex were dirty and require replacement especially the mattresses on the pool chairs by the pool . . Electricity went off whilst there."

"Just to be clear: there is no pool. And the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. But the service is 5 stars. And they clean every day, and change the bed and towels every 2 days"

"I’m happy to strongly recommend Terry’s Villa to anyone traveling to Nungwi. I stayed there with my family, and we had a spectacular experience from start to finish.
The villa itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — especially appreciated after long days exploring Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches. Although the villa is located a few minutes from the beach, it’s still within easy walking distance, which made getting around very convenient.
A special mention goes to the manager, Shivji, who...

"MINUS 10 STARS!!
Went from bad to worse from the time we arrived.
From having a mess in 1 room since they were building a bed, no toiletries at all as mentioned,
Water was not working properly; lights went off in 1 room and the ac and water not working in another.
Then went in total darkness with no back-up generator available and we were told it happens all the time.
Staff was hard to find even with a 'reception' area.
All around a horrible experience. Plus, we forgot to take 1 item...

"The Mora is a beautiful property with lots of ameneties like spa, dving center and lots of activities. The pools are really nice as well. We enjoyed our stay there but for us to go back few things would need to improve. The cost to stay there is high so we had a level of expectation that was similar to what we got at all inlcusive high end hotels in Kenya. Unfortinately we were disappointed.
Drinks: While they are included the quality that was provided was terrible. For example $5 bottles of wine are included that taste terrible and all decent wines have a surcharge. Hard liquor was some local brand that wasn't drinkable. Surcharges for decent liquor was very high.
Staff: While staff are nice there is a significant language barrier. If you ask for coffee a certain way or a drink to be made a certian way the staff do not understand. While friendly they need better training.
Drinks quality and staff need improvement for us to comsider this resort in the future."
"Zuri Zanzibar is an outstanding resort and easily deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I travel extensively and regularly stay at Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton and other luxury resorts, and Zuri matches that level of quality and service.
The property itself is stunning. I was especially impressed by the beautiful landscaping and gardens, which are expansive, meticulously maintained and cared for daily. We stayed in a suite with my partner and her best friend, and it was exceptional. The suite was very spacious, with a separate living room that easily accommodated an additional bed, plus a large patio with a hammock and dining table.
Our butlers, Peter and Pia, were outstanding. They were incredibly helpful and available 24/7, arranging everything from restaurant reservations and taxis to nightlife, excursions and airport transportation. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was excellent throughout our stay, including the breakfast buffet, beach barbecue and poolside restaurant. The beach is beautiful, the beach bar is terrific, and the nightly sunset fire is a wonderful touch. The water sports and activities staff were also friendly and professional.
We visited several other hotels in Zanzibar, and Zuri was by far our favorite property and had the best beach. Beautiful resort, exceptional service and a truly five-star experience."
"We enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing. Irene was helpful at check in and tried to get us an upgrade even though the hotel was fully booked. Elai in the main restaurant was amazing everyday as well. Looking forward to coming back"
"I don't really stay in resorts so I don't have much to compare. The grounds, facilities and rooms were immaculate and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The view from my room was stunning and the beach was also immaculate. Some things did come up that made my stay a little less enjoyable.
This is an alcohol free resort, this was my fault for not realizing but there were restaurants nearby that served alcohol
We left our previous hotel to catch a flight to Zanzibar at 4am. We arrived at the hotel starving. Unfortunately it was in between breakfast and lunch so no food options. We were advised that there were restaurants that serve all day which was not the case for us. We went door to door and were told 12:30. We finally found one and it took 1 hr and 15 minutes for our food which was past 12:30! We would have been fine with a premade sandwich
Other minor things, we could not have 2 keys for our room so my friend and I couldn't really do our own thing without one of us being locked out. It also would have been helpful to have an ATM nearby. We wanted to leave tips but ran of of cash"
