Great place to stay. We were at the back of the hotel which had less noise, but still some, so had to close the window at night, but we had had it open long enough to cool the room enough to be comfortable to sleep in. The room & bathroom was spacious and clean.

Loved how walkable The Victoria Hotel was, especially from the train station! It was central to Galway, under a ten minute walk to the Latin Quarter, a two minute walk to the Square, and about 10 minutes from the start of the Promenade walk! We were pleasantly surprised to get a room upgrade, and felt we couldn’t have picked a better location for exploring Galway!

It’s convenient close to the train station and Eyre Square. Easy stroll to the streets of the Latin Quarter. The staff were amazing showing us how to tour the area. We loved Galway. And took a gentle hike to Salt Hill though we required an Uber to get back as the fall hours the train shuttle stops at 3:15. The hotel is somewhat dated and construction to the rear at the station so a bit of morning noise. Galway is expensive in general for accommodation I’d probably stay outside of the area on the way to Cliffs of Moher.

A very lovely hotel conveniently close to all the spots of interest. The hotel staff, especially young lady we spoke to just before we left. She helped us get our arrangements for heading back to Dublin.. Regretful part of the day is that the breakfast is very scant. The coffee was not good, which was surprising. The fruit was very poor.. that’s too bad cause otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel is right in the heart of Eyre Square. Great for walking around and good restaurants in the area. Parking is a little tricky- having to walk a block or two but that’s understandable with being right down downtown. Modest but comfortable room.
