Wonderful weekend getaway

The cabin was a wonderful getaway. We didn't spend much time in our cabin due to our reason for being rhere was fishing, but it was quaint, quite, and comfortably. Loved this place and highly recommend.

Spring Break 2024

We had the best time at our stay!! Everyone was so nice and the kids loved it! We went fishing, hiked, and enjoyed our family time. The view was fantastic ❤️

lake view and close too services

Great view, Great Bed,easy trip to get anything you want too eat. I enjoyed the stay.. Iam 6'4 so keep that in mind regarding the bathroom size. Shower is to small, toilet is the old round type and short. sink is child size. I guess a 1' wider bathroom would help, this one is 3' wide... Unit was clean and if your 6' or less it would be perfect

Clean, but not as described

Description was privately owned 3-bedroom cabin on lakefront. Photos showed huge screened in porch and isolated cabin. Was actually roadside group of cabins. Ours was only 2-bedroom and was a tri-plex attached to another cabin and the office. Porch was tiny. Never saw any managers there. No one in the office, no one answered phone. Not a bad place to stay, but felt very misled by the listing.

The photos are of this particular cabin and there is no claim of this being a 3-bedroom unit. I did inform you ahead of time that I would be away during a portion of your stay and I did send you 2 messages via the app to which I received no response. Perhaps you may have had better luck reaching me via the app, considering you weren't expecting to be at a property with an office. While there are 3 units under the same roof, there are no shared walls, entrances, or indoor spaces. I do wish you would have had a better experience and am pleased you found your accommodations to be cleanly, as I do all of the work myself and take extra care to present each cabin as I would want it to be presented to me! Thanks again for staying with us!

Nice quiet with pretty scenery

Clean property, nice and secure … quiet , it was nice sitting out on the screen porch drinking morning coffee and watching the sun glisten off the lake . Would recommend this place for groups. We played cornhole on the pavilion they had boards and bags ready to go . Super cute place. Property owner was very nice to talk to and kept in contact . *****

Just What the Doctor Ordered

I come down to this area a few times a year as I have a lot of family that lives in the area. I've stayed at so many different places in the area, but this is my first time here. Man, do I wish I found this place sooner! The view is absolutely amazing. The kitchen is stocked with everything that you'd need. It was such a needed peaceful and relaxing stay. Couldn't ask for much more. Thank you for the hospitality!

Nice place enjoyed our trip

Beautiful backyard view. The owner was very nice and helpful. There plenty of things to do there. The only thing is they should say when booking that the cabins are all right next to each other. We where sharing a wall with one of the cabins. I would have like a more private place. Over all we had great time would definitely recommend this place.

Nice place to stay!

Payment was easy and clean. It was quite a hike to the boat dock for a 60 and 59 year old !! There are plenty of access to the lake close by!! We will stay at Wagon Wheel Resort again in the future 😁

Great escape for some R&R

Our visit to the Wagon Wheel Resort was a great escape from pandemic isolation at home to enjoy a great view and nearby opportunities to explore nature. This cabin is not large or fancy, but it worked perfectly for our needs and provides a great opportunity to escape without breaking the budget. The owners are friendly, helpful, and accessible, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Great place for a low-key vacation!

Very nice cabins. Small shower but awesome water pressure. Beautiful view of the lake sitting in our screened porch. Its a bit rustic but lots of fun. We went swimming and fishing off the dock and caught fish!! It is a steep walk down to the dock but a four year old and a 62 year old made it with no problem. We will be back in the fall for leaves color change. Definitely recommend visiting !!

Great view

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway. The owners were on site and easy to communicate with, and checked on us several times to make sure needs were met. The cabin is very minimalist but it was perfect for us. The outside lake view and hammocks were awesome. We loved visiting with the pig and goat on site :). One thing I will say, access to the lake is very difficult. The road is undriveable and the walk is down a very steep, rocky/wooded hill of about 500 ft. long. I’m expecting so we decided to avoid it all together to be safe. Luckily we chose the place for the view and not the lake access! Overall great stay!

Peaceful and Comfy

For starters, you can't beat the price. If you're looking for something roomy, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for something that has a beautiful view of the lake, peaceful and quite, and meets your basic needs, then this place is for you. I loved the screened-in porch. You can eat outside and not worry about the bugs/flies. The beds and pillows are better than some hotels. It's very quaint and homey. The owners are very nice and willing to help you any way they can. If life could be put on hold, I'd have stayed a lot longer. I'd recommend the Wagon Wheel to anyone and hope to stay again in the future.

Great place to visit

Spring Break

Our family had a lovely time visiting the Wagon Wheel Cabins. The views were spectacular and the owners were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely consider staying again.

Very accommodating and clean

We were so lucky to have been able to stay for just a couple of days during peak time, the owners were very generous when most places had a week minimum, they allowed us to stay for two. The place was very clean, some of the beds weren’t very comfortable, but we found one in the house that worked for my husband and I. They have wonderful views of the lake. Also had lots for the kids to do, games, playground, etc. Any time we had any issues, they were reachable and took care of it. Nice pavilion for grilling and hanging out (although the weather was extreme temps of 110), we spent most of our time on the lake trying to stay cool or under the air conditioning. We had a blast and love the lake. I recommend The Wagon Wheel Resort.

Felt like home

Jenni and Jared are awesome folks , made us feel right at home . Great location , we were there for a bass tournament and couldn’t have easier to get to and from the boat ramps. Comfortable cabins , the perfect set up for what we needed .

Not for romance

This would be a perfect place for a family but I looked at places for romance for our anniversary and they were goats chickens pigs tons of kids and I wouldn't stay there again because the room wasn't quite as they represented it.

Lake stay

Cabin was nice. The Refrige was noise and the AC was to small, Sofa sleeper was broken. The lake was a long walk down hill and to drive to the lake the road was not good to drive on. I did like the peace and the screened in porch was great. The kids loved the play area and all the items they could use.

Relaxing surroundings, well maintained property, secluded swimming cove.

My husband and I were looking for a mid week getaway.We wanted an relaxing and restful stay, and this resort provided just what we were looking for. The first thing that I noticed is how well the property is maintained. The cabins and grounds are neat and clean. You can tell that the owners take good care of their property. Since the weather was typical of July (sweltering), all we really wanted to do was swim. The resort had a swimming pier in a gorgeous, secluded cove. It was a steep walk down to it, but there is also a longer less steep, route along a road that you can take. We also spent a few hours in hammocks in the shade. The view of the lake was spectacular. We fully enjoyed this resort.
