“Small B&B which is in a quiet area, but just of main routes so easy to find. There is sufficient off-street parking for guests which is a plus. Breakfast offers a good choice for all tastes and the breakfast room, at the side of the property affords sea views which adds to the pleasant feel of what is obviously a well run B&B. The room had a comfortable double bed, ensuit bathroom and provided with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits.I was met by the host on arrival and given a tour so I……

“We had a really enjoyable stay at Townend Farm and Julie was extremely helpful booking a meal at the Tiger Inn and also giving us information about local bus services The breakfast was a really good standard and cooked perfectly . Our only concern was that the rooms were on the second floor with steep staircases which made it difficult to carry suitcases and to access the rooms.Perhaps it might be worth pointing out on the website Thankyou Julie for a lovely stay ”

“Really nice clean room and the staff were more than helpful and friendly however the food was unfortunately a disappointment with the rib eye steak being of poor quality, the onion rings being undercooked and the mushrooms being cold. The wait for food was also longer than expected. ”

“We stayed in an room across the car park from the main building. The room was a good size, very modern and clean with a good shower and modern TV. Staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast was good quality with good cereal and fruit juice options. Well worth a visit. ”

They've done a great job of the hotel and grounds, and it's a great location in the village opposite the church. Easy access to nearby towns, the moors and the coastline. Would highly recommend. “Clean room, if tired, was nice for 2 nights though I did mention to them that the mattress in our lovely room really needed replacing. The staff were great but clearly shorthanded. On our first night we ate in the bar, but waited an hour for our meals which were ok... The views as shown on the ads are spot on - incredible, and we were very lucky with the weather. With some investment, this place could be really, really lovely, inside as well as out.”
