Wonderful hotel - room was surprisingly spacious and even had a microwave which was a nice addition if you are staying for several nights. Bathroom was very nice and spacious and a lovely shower. Great location central with good transport links and only a short walk from the main attractions in the city. Car park is extremely tight when full but we took advantage of the alternative car park suggested which we were fortunate to receive a discounted rate for whilst staying with Sandman, and it was a very short walk from the hotel so no complaints. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Staff were all polite and helpful, beds very comfy, room heating easy to use. Breakfast tasty and evening menu very good too (recommend the brownie & ice cream!). Easy to leave luggage with lobby staff after check-out before my flight. Easy walk into town (10 mins) and near to bus stops for airport too. Only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom door was really heavy and sometimes struggled opening it. Also bathroom window wasn’t frosted so had to keep the blind closed the entire time, lest everyone in the adjacent building see me!

Great sized rooms, well furnished and clean. Staff were all very welcoming. We were in an accessible room, plenty of space for turning the wheelchair and very good wet room bathroom. Also had breakfast and there was a good selection of hot and cold food. Would be very happy to book again. Stayed for Panto at the the king's theatre, which was only a few minutes away. Very good stay.

Room was spacious, clean and provided everything that was needed. Really comfortable bed and tasty breakfast. Couldn’t use parking facilities as spaces available were impossible to get into due to lack of room to manoeuvre. Manage to park close by and hotel provided a 50% discount to parking price which assisted this situation.

Exactly what you expect and need upon arrival, Chop restaurant needs some atmosphere and more staffing: getting away with one server on "quiet" nights is a very cheap and obvious scene, where it only takes one or two 5 tops to enter and they will be easily overwhelmed, particularly as they are running the bar too. Not a good look for those in the know - I almost walked out and it was close to EMPTY and I hadn't been offered a glass of water, drink or menu for twenty minutes: I was seconds away and the server was not at fault but too busy. Your card reader also does not offer a gratuity; I had to ask and make a new transaction.
