“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Excellent accommodation with an exceptional view. Immediately after booking, Colin, the owner emailed with all the information we needed to make our stay on Skye fabulous. We were greeted on arrival. The pod was meticulously clean and really lovely! Bathroom with shower, microwave, milk in the fridge, tea bags, coffee and sugar. Clean bedding, towels, tea towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid. Crockery in the cupboards. The decking had a table and two chairs and looked over the most spectacular……

“Nice friendly check in, room was lovely with a nice view to mallaig. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the wine and lager ( a pint for less than £4 😁). The staff at dinner and breakfast were nice and polite and done their job very well. Thank you to all the team who made our stay relaxing. ”

“This is an old Scottish Hotel with a modern reception, dining and extension. It has retained the best of both worlds and of course is on the sea front. We had a ground floor room in the extension with a small individual patio and facing the sea loch. We could park directly outside so bag carry was a few yards. Food excellent, perhaps over generous portions! Excellent shower ample hot water and good local toiletries. Bed large and comfortable. WiFi sound. POD based coffee. Staff……

“Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The honesty bar was great for stopping in the room (wine, beer, soft drinks, various snacks) - we came away with some……
