Helena House: Close to Plum Cove Beach

Situated on a knoll in Gloucester's Bay View neighborhood, Helena House offers peekaboo views of Ipswich Bay from the second floor bedroom with deck. Decorated with a European sensibility, the home is sunny, comfortable and cheerful, with hardwood floors throughout. A Queen Anne-style house, you can access the second floor via a front staircase that leads from the living room or from the back staircase via the kitchen. The bedrooms upstairs have AC units for comfort and the separated WC and shower areas provide flexibility. A lush and private back yard gives you a feeling of being away from it all.

Spend your summer vacation relaxing, discovering local fauna such as hermit crabs, and swimming to your hearts content. A short walk takes you to Hodgkins Cove where you can swim and enjoy the scenery or walk to many fishing spots and quarries for swimming. The picturesque neighborhood beach of Plum Cove is 6/10 of a mile, and a bit farther is the sweet little village of Lanesville. Annisquam and Rockport are a short drive away, making this home a convenient and comfortable Cape Ann getaway.

GROUND FLOOR

Living Room: A sunny room with a bay window, a stylish modern sectional sofa and a flat-screen TV.

Kitchen: The sunny eat-in kitchen has plenty of storage, a gas range, and a full-size front loading washer and dryer.

Dining Room: Formal dining room seats up to 8.

Bathroom 1: A half-bath off the kitchen.

Den: The den (just off the dining and living areas) offers a comfy double futon if extra sleeping space is needed.

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom 1: This bedroom has sliders to a deck from which you can glimpse the ocean, as well as a California king bed.

Bedroom 2: A sunny room with twin beds.

Bedroom 3: A corner room with twin beds and trundles for optional sleeping arrangements.

Bathroom 2: The European-styled bathroom has a walk-in shower and double vanity. The toilet (and another sink) are separate and located down the hall.

EXTERIOR

Outside you'll find a slate patio, hot & cold outdoor shower, and a verdant backyard.

There is parking for 2 cars tandem in the driveway and additional parking on the street.
