The accommodation was in a beautiful location, quite, serene and had everything we wanted apart from Wi-Fi which was advertised (a little bit difficult as it was booked as a base to work from in the evenings).
The negatives...... no welcome pack to guide you round the property, i.e how the heating worked, any helpful tips around where to put rubbish once the bin was full, etc, etc. Having stayed at many other hosted/managed properties, this is a must, even if its basic.
The host was only interested in the fact that we had left an outside light on twice....no welcome greeting, no "hows is everything?", just two rude 'knocks on the door' to complain to us about a very small subdued light which we left on for too long (by accident as there were a lot of light switches) outside the front & back door in a dark rural location!. The manor in which this was addressed was out and out rude and made my daughter very uncomfortable.
Frankly, it spoilt the experience.
Such a shame as everything else was spot on.
I would recommend the property but not the owner.
