We had a wonderful stay! The house is even better than shown in the photographs - we loved looking around at the various historical memorabilia and photos from the renovation. It was well appointed and was comfortable for our family of 5 - the kids loved playing disk golf outside and we had a fun evening around the fire pit on the one night we got in and weren’t too tired from our excursions. It was a pleasant 15 minute drive into Lynchburg and only about 5 minutes from a small town where we could get food and anything else we might need. As “train house” alludes to, it was down the road from some train tracks. When we booked, we were initially apprehensive about possible noise, but being well away from the city/crossings the trains never sounded their horns and it was far enough away from the house and muffled enough by trees and other structures that you would only know a train was passing by a slight rumble. Definitely not enough to wake anyone. Kristin was very accessible and welcoming, and checked in with us a few times via the VRBO app throughout our stay.
