Sehr schöne 16 Tage. Super tolles Haus, in dem man sich sofort wohl und Zuhause fühlt. Das wirklich einzige was uns gefehlt hat war ein größeres Topf um Nudeln zu kochen sowie auch eine Salatschüssel und Sieb. Beim Frühstück an der Küchentheke kann man den Eseln und Schafe zuschauen. Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Outstanding Holiday Home and Hosts

Beautiful holiday home in great area for exploring Connemara. Super clean, warm, well maintained, quality furnishings, fittings and equipment plus stunning views to the sea or the mountains- what else do you need on a holiday? Paddy was lovely and friendly, came to see how we were settling in (also when we were leaving to say goodbye), he explained how the heating and things worked and answered any questions we had. Perfect for our cycling holiday (we are E-bikers!) with many routes either from the door or within 40 minute drive. If you haven't been to wonderful Connemara before with it's wild coastline, gorgeous little beaches (e.g.Anchor Bay and Roundstone) and majestic mountains then this would be an ideal base to explore the area. You will have to drive to get to a pub, shop or town and because of the snickety, narrow roads, any driving takes longer than usual. The peninsula the cottage is on is about 35 minutes drive from the main town of Clifden with some great cycle routes from there but we much preferred Roundstone area (15-20 minute drive). We would recommend a day out visiting Kylemore Abbey- super food available there - and then a trip on the Killary Fjord (no facilities at all at the dock but a great little bar and cafe onboard) and a circular cycle ride from Roundstone across the Bog road and back. We also wished we had cycled more of the peninsula the cottage is on and around Carna but there's always another time! We both loved the cottage so much but a small detail which we think would be a good idea would be to but put hooks on the back of bathroom and bedroom doors please!
