「Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful village. Karen and Alec are amazing hosts and we were looked after in every respect. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms are delightful. I would certainly recommend this B & B to anyone. 」

Cons - Electricity (main light) in the room seemed faulty and the TV didn’t work, as there is rarely anyone available in reception, I didn’t bother trying to get it fixed. The hotel is in need of renovation, very noisy and dated, bar staff not attentive, food overcooked/burnt in places. Prices vary massively from the same room, so ok if you can grab a bargain would be very disappointing if you paid double.」

「Tombeck was nice, roomy, comfortable. Had a large kitchen fully stocked with cookware, oven, stove, kettle, microwave. We liked the large wooden dining table. A great place from which to explore Tomintoul and the Cairngorms. Also has a washing machine and dryer, but no instructions so took some time to figure them out (and the washing machine makes a loud noise and really shakes while running).」
