Very convenient location on Chianti Road
The place is very cute. There is a great wine tasting place down the gravel road. The mixology place in walking distance up on the main road. 3 min from Pazzano’s restaurants. Greve is bigger but in the valley. I would suggest Pazzano to stay. We had a room with 4 beds as it was 4 of us. It was tight up in a mezzanine. Family with two kids would enjoy it. Grown people not so much. Personnel was very helpful. Breakfast is very decent. Overall very good place

Peaceful and pleasant place to stay
Our stay at the Casello was part of a road trip around Tuscany. Staff are very friendly, we were greeted at the door and assisted immediately whenever needed. The place is really beautiful and well kept, really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it

Just fine
Based on our experience here, Il Cassello would be a great place for an Italian family looking for a relaxing long weekend getaway. We don’t recommend it, though, to international families. Although the property is charming and the owners are gracious and kind, it lacks certain conveniences that make international travel more comfortable. For example, multilingual staff. A lot of the staff also weren’t wearing masks indoors. In general the room was clean, but dark and outdated. The air conditioning was weak and the blow dryer barely worked. One of our doors was broken. The pool is new and the view is nice. This is a fine budget option, but we weren’t particularly comfortable. We thought it was a bit overpriced relative to our experience.

Minusy: brak możliwości zamówienia kolacji w obiekcie, najbliższe bary, restauracje 3km, położony bezpośrednio przy drodze, trafiliśmy na pracę koparki - hałas. Gospodarze produkują wino, ale niestety nie zaoferowali darmowej degustacji. Malo owoców i warzyw na śniadanie, kto przyszedł o 9.30 już nie dostał, bo nie było.

Very nice place altogether. Two problems, one with the lack of front desk service the day of our arrival for restaurant réservation advice. The second being that the wifi network is anemic and underperforming at best. Other than that, great getaway!

b&b molto confortevole e una dedizione e disponibilita estreme da parte del personale. Le camere curatissime nei minimi dettagli, buona illuminazione e ottimi materassi. Una bella zona all aperto e la piscina era bellissima anche se purtroppo a fine stagione per condimeteo non la ho potuta utilizzare. Le camere cosi come la struttura molto ben pulite e mi sono sentita molto a mio agio e tutelata in questo periodo covid cosi difficile. La colazione piu che discreta . La posizione super strategica e facile da raggiungere. Ampio il parcheggio complimenti x tutto!

A perfect base for exploring Chianti
Il Casello country house is a charming base from which to explore Chianti. Our classic double room was comfortable and characterful. Staff were really friendly and helpful (even if they don't speak fluent English it wasn't a problem) - nothing was too much trouble. A good size swimming pool in the gardens which sees plenty of visiting birdlife. Gorgeous views. An enjoyable stay with lots to explore nearby.

Fantastiskt fint boende strax utanför Panzano
Bodde med barn i en av lägenheterna. Otroligt fint och trevligt med lägenheten och stora ytor i övrigt att använda, trots lågsäsong. Trevlig ägare och bra frukost för att vara Italien. Läget är mycket fint, men ganska långt att gå in till Panzano, så bil behövs. Rekommenderas verkligen!

We were given a room on the ground floor as we had 2 big luggage, it’s convenient to move them to and fro our car but as the AC was disabled, we had to open our windows to cool down the room at night. As a result we had mosquitoes flying in and got bitten. Other than that gripe, everything else was more than sufficient. Location was good, bfast spread was adequate (we only drank coffee on both mornings, just a personal choice). Marina who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating.

Place is very nice, big parking, perfect swimming pool. Breakfest was not so good, not many choises (salami, toust, cornflakes). In our room we heard everything from the neighbours. The receptionist doesn't speak English well. No wifi in the room or around.

The landscape of the Tuscan hills cannot be beat. It is absolutely beautiful. The building is rustic and charming, however, our toilet did not work well and our room was quite small compared to the room of our travel companions. It was a tight fit with 2 people and luggage. But, the host was very gracious and the surroundings were breathtaking.

We found the property to be worn out. Rooms were dirty and not cleaned. Beds were made but no room cleaning was done during our 3 night stay. The grounds were not well taken care of. Its too bad as the location is perfect with great views! Breakfast isn't great. Not a real benefit to the stay.

Maurizio was an excellent host and he could not do enough for us during our short stay. Il Casello is clean and tidy and ideal as somewhere to rest for the night and to use as a base for exploring the heart of Tuscany. The rooms are basic, functional and rustic; could benefit from some updating of fixtures and fittings. All in all, an ok place for a short stay.

Great, nice and homey place to stay!
We loved Antonio, our very warm and gracious host. He did his best to make us feel at home. A lot of restos nearby, in Greve in Chianti and Panzano just a few minutes drive away. Also with a Coop in both towns. The downside - Since we traveled at the height of summer heat, the Aircon was not that cool. Maybe they could check on the A/C system specially on summer months for cleaning or service.

Køkkenet i lejligheden var lidt mangelfuldt ift. Udstyr. Der var eksempelvis ingen kaffemaskine. Køkkenet var også lidt nusset, måske fordi man selv skulle have sulfo og viskestykke med og det var vi ikke klar over. Derudover kunne stedet godt trænge til at der bliver gjort lidt ved buske og udearealer. Det virker lidt misvedligeholdt. Men omgivelser og personalet er rigtigt venlige.

The service and the help by the the manager Antonio was great. He helped my carry the wine cartons, made reservatons for us and pointed out sights. He tried to please in every way. It would be nice if one could sit outside for breakfast or if there was a coffee machine during the day. for me it was the perfect bed and breakfast in that area.
