"Grosse maison perdue dans la campagne qui a été une superbe découverte. Nous avions un magnifique appartement qui donnait sur une belle piscine magnifiquement entretenue. Le personnel est très avenant avec un remerciement spécial pour Fatima qui nous a accueillis en français est s'est occupé de nous toute la soirée. Elle nous a concocté un excellent repas le soir avec des produits du terroir. Un grand merci pour elle qui était encore présente tôt au petit déjeuner.

"Very nice stay, immediate holiday feeling, friendly welcoming, staff takes good care of everything and owners are present all day. Nice swimming pool, cosy tiny houses (cottages) with all comfort.
A few kilometres from Marina de Grossetto - to walk there makes rather sense when teh Bagno operation starts mid June. Good stay for relaxing and enjoying the very well done italian/tuscany meals in the evening, no need to go elsewhere for dinner. Taste the housewine - selfmade by owner!"

"A truly unique experience! The amount of works that Mario and Paola have put in to give a new life for this 1883 light house and to share with other travelers are simply remarkable. Also, everything has to be brought in from outside through parts non paved rocky road with a jeep in order to cover guests’ needs, the intention is more than running a business but much larger than life. I’m truly grateful to have this experience at Faro da Paola e Mario!!! "

"Great setting on top of a 22 story building overlooking the water. Well situated in the best area to be in Follonica. Annoying blinking light from motion sensor (I think) in room keeping us up most of the night. Mai’s room blanket after the first night, why?? Not including breakfast as the cards were not honored at restaurant across the street. Frustrating check in process, does not speak English."

"We stayed in Villa 3 which was huge. There was a large communal living room but as there were no other guests on that floor we had it to ourselves. Our accommodation consisted of a large double bedroom and large sitting room and a modern en-suite bathroom which had a shower. The rooms are all period style with lovely old furniture. Good air conditioning. Pool was very nice. The restaurant is a fish restaurant and doesn’t seem to be part of the establishment. Very good buffet breakfasts. Excellent value for money. Mostly female staff were very pleasant and helpful. Grosseto is about 10km away, a medium sized town. Would definitely recommend for couples or older people."
"Gorgeous, historic hotel, room was spacious with very high ceilings. Breakfast was delicious too. It was a little loud outside at night but obviously nothing the hotel can do about that and it wasn't really a problem for me. Great location, kind and helpful staff. I'd happily stay here again, for the price I paid it was very worth it."
"Spectacular hotel, superb location, great staff.
Stunning cliff top location, beautiful breakfasts and the pool and beach is so fabulous. Highly recommend!"
"I stay at this hotel at least one a year, Staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Rooms are clean and quiet. The only thing I miss is having a hot pot to make tea."

"We had a most enjoyable relaxing three days by the beach following 14 travelling through Tuscany. The standards and service were exemplary, the staff are all levels were so professional and friendly. The breakfast could not be improved and with such a setting it was great. Very high standards for the evening meal and of course you pay a premium for this. Rooms were large and only 2 minutes from the beach where you have your own lounger allocated to you for the duration. First class venue, expensive in parts but worth it."
