“Beautiful place Love the new look downstairs & the old look upstairs .love the space on the property. the fire pit 🙂 the only thing that was disappointing was the hot tub didn't work correctly. Front left of the hot tub does not turn on at all the rest works . did a recording and sent it to the property owner which was told it worked fine which was not the case. No propane to use the barbecue not a big deal . Check in took an hour as the app did not work to check in . had to go talk to people……

“Wonderful, small place which was exactly what we were looking for. We used it as a base to explore Cape Breton Trail. Master bedroom very nice en suite. Spare bedroom very small. Great woodburning stove! And view was nice.”

“If you are looking to get away from it all, THIS is the property for you. Seriously, it is the most gorgeous location -- about 2 km from the next nearest house and has beautiful views of the ocean. This cottage is one of a collection of four homes on the property. It is next to two other houses and the final cottage is down by the water. No one was in the two cottages next to us so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves (minus some workers renovating one of the cottages). Shared……

“Fairly remote location on a large lot, plenty of room do our party of 6. 3rd bedrooms en-suite is eclectic but usable. Had a great time and host responded to enquirers very quickly”

“For anyone who wants to escape civilization and convene with nature this is a gem. Some sacrifices have to made…. Food and drinking water are not close but in exchange you are greeted with sounds of waves and birds who don’t seem to recognize humans :)”

The host was great, very responsive, and even checked in on us during a passing tropical storm to ensure everything was ok. I would highly recommend!”

“Kathryn & John are very focused on making their guests comfortable. The unit is extra clean, well appointed with furnishings, and exactly as portrayed in the listing. The setting is extra rural. A very quiet place. You can see the stars at night, hear the birds all day, and watch a porcupine climb up a tree out your window. Antigonish is a small town, a 10-minute drive away. But we found everything we needed. The unit is strategically located about 40 minutes from the causeway to Cape Breton……

“We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!”
