This was a perfect experience for what we wanted. Carla is amazing. Pick up was easy. She arranged a rental for us to use. The lodge was secluded (which we loved and wanted). It was clean and view of the ocean from our window and balcony along with the stars at night beyond perfect. We will stay here every time we visit.

We loved staying here; the porch is cozy and overlooks the ocean and family farm. The building was well kept and comfortable. The views were incredible! Karla and her family were wonderful hosts, checking in on us and willing to help with things like tours. The cottage is about 15 minute drive to town. We rented a car from the family and had no trouble getting around. They picked us up and dropped us at the airport too.

Maunga Roa Eco Lodge made our stay in Easter Island an absolute dream. The home was beautiful, decorated very nicely, quiet, and the absolute most amazing view one could have on the island. You are away from the hustle and noise from the town and can truly have a retreat with peace and quiet. The host was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. We enjoyed coffee on the covered deck overlooking distant Ahu and the ocean and even cooked a couple meals in the well appointed kitchen. Every day there were fresh towels and bath mats, we even got some fresh eggs from the hosts farm. You will love this gem of a retreat. The view alone is simply worth it. Thank you Maungo Roa Eco Lodge!

A Hidden Gem on Easter Island!

We recently stayed at Maunga Ro Eco Lodge, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The lodge is located on a beautiful farm, offering a secluded and peaceful atmosphere with stunning ocean views. Despite feeling like you’re in a private paradise, it’s also conveniently close to everything you need on the island. The house itself is cozy and well-equipped, providing the perfect balance between feeling at home and having the privacy you need to relax. The surrounding nature and open space make it a perfect spot to unwind after exploring the island’s wonders. What made our stay even more special were the owners. They are incredibly warm, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel like part of their family while still respecting our privacy. They were always available to offer tips about the island and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines the beauty of nature with comfort and heartfelt hospitality, Maunga Ro Eco Lodge is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing stay!

The cottage is quite lovely with a beautiful scenery. The hosts are amazing! They were attentive to my needs and provided eggs, tomatoes and pineapples. I was very sad to leave after my two week stay. I will be back!

Superbe bungalow avec vue

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce petit bungalow reculé avec une vue sublime depuis la terrasse comme depuis le lit. La chambre est dotée d’une grande baie vitrée qui permet une vue panoramique. C’était propre, bien entretenue et la propriétaire a été très agréable. Nous avons été reçue avec beaucoup de petites attentions. Un grand merci ! Attention : c’est reculé et je vous conseille de louer une voiture (service proposé directement sur place par la propriétaire).

This self contained fully equipped eco lodge is spacious, very clean, with a balcony overlooking the farm to an amazing view of the ocean and sunrise. Hot water shower and flushing toilet is not a problem at all though you have to be mindful of your usage of electricity as this eco lodge is powered by solar battery. Hire of a vehicle is definitely a must for this accommodation as it’s about 10-minutes distance from the town area and about 5 minutes on a bumpy road to reach the lodge. Mobile Wifi is provided which is really good to enable us bring along round the island and to communicate with the host and should there be any need arising. All in all it was a very pleasant and comfortable 7 days stay for us here. The hosts are very friendly and we like their motivation to provide the best!

Loved the peaceful and quiet location with a view of the ocean. Complete kitchen makes meals convenient. At the center of the island and easy to get to all island attractions. Highly recommend this lodge.
