2 “BEDROOM” apt that was not.

No one there to check us in. Had to wait. Booked a 2 BEDROOM apt. Only had one. One half roll of toilet paper. One almost empty soap dispenser. Pull out sofa dirty. Would not sleep on that. Over priced and unsatisfactory.

The hotel is OK for the price, basic but in a pretty setting. However, it stated on the booking confirmation guests could call for check in after 6pm. Having called multiple times and never got a reply I got to the hotel at 10pm not knowing if I’d be able to check in or if I would have to find a last minute alternative. As it turns out there is a keysafe and mobile number that can be reached, but it would have been great to know this before getting to the hotel. Hotels.com customer service were of no help whatsoever.

La chambre n'avait été préparée que pour un alors que la réservation était pour deux. Malgré l'annonce extérieure, les photos sur leur site, il n'y a pas de restaurant. Le stationnement est à 5 min de marche, les restos proches sont à 15 min en auto. Il n'y avait pas de verres dans la chambre et une seule serviette etc.

Bei der Buchung genau aufpassen!

Das Einchecken war etwas schwierig, da die Rezeption schon vor 17.00 Uhr nicht besetzt war, freundliche Mitbewohner konnten dann telefonisch jemanden erreichen, so dass wir ins Zimmer konnten. Doppelzimmer gebucht, Einzelzimmer vorbereitet, das liegt aber eher am Buchungsportal!

Tolles Ambiente in alter Industriekultur, Zimmer zweckmäßig, aber dem Charakter des Gebäudes eingerichtet und sehr ordentlich und sauber. Super Matratzen! Bad geräumig, ich bin allerdings kein Fan von Duschvorhängen. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr freundliches Personal. Lage direkt am Fluss charmant. Parkplatz im Dunkeln etwas schwierig auszumachen. Leider funktionierte - trotz 2maliger Kontaktaufnahme mit der Rezeption - das Internet nicht. Kein WLAN. Das Arbeiten war im Zimmer nicht möglich. Auch an Kleinigkeiten kann man ein gutes/bemühtes Hotel erkennen: Fernseh—Sender ungeordnet, Föhn aus den 80er festinstalliert und mach kaum Gebläse / laut. Personal ist aber sehr nett.

Ein gelungener Aufenthalt

Das Personal ist durchgehend freundlich und engagiert. Das Frühstück angemessen, hat aber ein bisschen Kantinenflair, es ein Abräumwagen für die Tablets gibt. Ich mag kein Automatenkaffee und die Teeauswahl ist "ok". Brötchen frisch und noch warm. Zimmer:ich hatte eine Suite mit Küche und war sehr zufrieden. SAGENHAFT: Die Matratzen. Ich habe selten ein Hotel, bei dem ich morgens keine Rückenschmerzen habe. Ich konnte leider nicht den Hersteller herausfinden. Wlan: kostet nichts und kein login; ist ein bisschen schwach und hat sich immer mal wieder verabschiedet. Das Wochenende ist gut besucht, unter der Woche sehr ruhig.

Die Größe und Aufteilung der "Suite" war super. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist gut, nur die Töpfe könnten mal erneuert werden. Es fehlte ein Deckel und ein Toofboden war schon ziemlich mitgenommen. Ärgerlich ist die fehlende Möglichkeit das Fenster zu verdunkeln. Die Jalousie im Schlafzimmer war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und dient mit den Alulamellen eher als Sonnenschutz. Als Verdunklung taugt sie leider gar nicht. Im Wohnbereich funktionierte nur eins von zwei Rollos und die schöne Aussicht auf die Ruhr könnte man durch geputzte Fenster besser genießen. Das Frühstück in dem schönen Frühstücksraum mit Blick auf den Fluss war gut und ausreichend, aber auch hier wie beim Zimmer stimmt das Preisleistungsverhältnis noch nicht ganz. Die Mängelliste sollte eher als Anregung zur Verbesserung verstanden werden, denn abgesehen von einer Top-Lage und der sehr angenehmen Zimmergröße fehlt eben noch ein bisschen was zur Bezeichnung als "Suite". Aparthotel passt da eher. Die Lage ist für Fahrradfahrer und motorisierte Personen hervorragend und insgesamt würden wir die Unterkunft trotzdem empfehlen.

Ein schönes Hotel und elegante moderne Zimmer, ebenerdige Dusche, für 8,50 € super Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Das Hotel bietet bei Ankunft nach 20 Uhr eine Alternative an, um die Hotelkarte in Empfang zu nehmen. Das Hotel wirbt auf seiner Website mit einem Zertifikat, dass der Hotelstrom aus Wasserkraft erzeugt wird. Die Mühle liegt ja auch direkt am Wasser. Wenn man dann aber auf dem Zimmer durch ein Hinweisschild um Verständnis gebeten wird, dass man den Kühlschrank nicht mehr in Betrieb hat, weil die Energiepreise so gestiegen sind, dann finde ich das komisch.

Großes Zimmer, geräumiges Bad. Schöne Lage direkt an der Ruhr. Sehr interessant genutzter und gestalteter Industriebau. Moderne Wohnanlage mit viel industrie-kulturellem Hintergrund. Gastronomie in der Stadt ca. 15 min zu Fuß. Gutes Frühstück, freundlicher Service. Mir hat es gut gefallen, für einzelne Übernachtungen zu empfehlen.
