Place is very old which is kind of cool. But it is also old which means everything is super dated. It is good for a quick night stay but it is dirty and old.

Clean rooms in a building that was a pub. Lots of stairs to get to rooms. Welcoming staff. Building is old and a bit neglected but rooms good. Amusing signage on the ground floor with 'alternate' spelling. Loved the big historical photos evoking nostalgia. Suited my needs.

The room was clean and recently remodeled. The open areas of the hotel are very poorly maintained and really show the age of the property. The breakfast is a bit limited. All around okay for the price but there may be better options in the town.

Check in was quick and easy, person at the desk was very pleasant. Bed linen and towels were good. Bathroom modern and very clean. Room was spacious, and very quiet. Heating worked well. Paintwork and carpet very much in need of a refresh. This is an old building which needs some updates, but if you are on a budget and need somewhere to sleep then you could do worse. Great to have included a simple serve yourself breakfast.

I stayed here twice on a road trip and got the same room both times. Honestly the site itself was pretty good! There is some room for improvement mainly with just maintenance of the site and the carpets etc, but it was obvious the owner has been making improvements, and being such a big site these things take time and money! If they could recarpet or even deep clean the carpets this would really raise the entire place up quite substantially. The bed was lovely and nicely made both times, the AC worked well and the bathroom was recently renovated, the internet I had some trouble figuring out but had phone data so just didn't bother! Breakfast was great in the morning too :) I hope they can keep improving the site as everything is there for it to be really great! Super convenient too as it's right across the road from an IGA and a coffee van which is open very early if you're heading off early! I'd stay again on future trips :)

Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom however was not very practical. Way too narrow to the point where your knees were a few centimetres from the wall when you sat on the toilet.

The room was very cold. There was no remote for the heater. We were unable to turn the TV on. The cutlery and cups were very dusty. The sheets were dirty and had a fresh blood stain on them.

The room looked very nice in the photos, and we booked one with a balcony because we thought it would be a pleasant place to stay. What we didn’t realise from the listing was that the balcony faces directly onto the main road. Unfortunately, this made the room extremely noisy at night. People were drinking and chatting around the balcony area, and there was also heavy traffic, including trucks and road trains passing during the night. We barely slept. We booked on the same day and were surprised that a balcony room was still available at such a good price. After staying there, we understood why. The room itself was fine and looked much like the photos, but if you are a light sleeper, I would definitely recommend asking for a room away from the main road.
