Stayed two nights in this cozy family-owned inn. Julie and staff were so nice! Recommended things to do and cooked breakfast each morning. Visiting with other guests over breakfast was an added bonus. Would highly recommend staying here. Very comfy bed, clean, and so quiet at night. Great location for visiting Cashiers, Highlands, and nearby waterfalls and hiking trails. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
Brook Trout Inn was delightful and I will be coming back in the future! I appreciated the care of the staff and the location to Gorges State Park. Great hiking and yummy local restaurants, all close by!
It was a peaceful location, I felt like I had all the comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable better than any high end hotel I’ve been to. I actually felt like I could live there it was great! The breakfast was delicious also
It was very pet friendly, everybody there was very nice. We ended up checking in early and they were very friendly about it. The room was very homie. It had a full kitchen stove, fridge, and of course, the sink a nice area outside to where you can sit around a fire pit overall would stay there again
Beautiful clean place, very unique architecture inside/outside, cozy room, relaxing, great common area/breakfast area, they cook breakfast just for you! Sweet people. Would suggest more lighting on second story upper step to deck patio.
If I could give Brook Trout Inn ten stars I would. Julie, her husband Steve, and their right hand woman, Holly, were welcolming, friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless, the breakfast eggs were cooked to order with almost everything else you could ask for to start the day. Run, don't walk to this Inn the next time you are in the area and need somewhere to stay. Who needs a chain hotel when you can stay with what feels like family❤️?
Also, we brought our 17'9" boat and parking was no problem on the property.
Feels nothing like a stabdard boring hotel. Beautiful scenery, amazing restaurant next door, and staff are awesome. Absolutely love the feel of the place. Woke up to real cooked eggs and bacon
Stayed here for one night after hiking Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls trail. Great location close to Cashiers where we saw 4th of July fireworks. Room was comfy and clean! Excellent air conditioning! They cooked made to order eggs and bacon and had assorted muffins, bagels, breads, and fruit. Chatted with the owner Julie at breakfast-super friendly! Don’t hesitate to stay here!
The Brook Trout Inn is a real gem. It has been locally owned for the last ten years. The owner and staff are wonderful people. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location makes local towns like Highlands, Cashiers, and Brevard accessible with relatively short drives. There is lots of hiking and waterfalls in the local area. A great place to stay.
Loved our stay here! Everything was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and peaceful.
Holly was so kind, breakfast included in our stay, coffee, etc. was a plus.
The Inn is very well maintained and the gardens, trees and flowers really made our stay even more inviting.
Recommendations to local restaurants were great as well. Location is great for exploring waterfalls, hiking, fishing, or just resting. Thank you for our wonderful stay. Hope to come back again.
We will definitely be coming back to this Inn. The staff was wonderful, the room rates are reasonable, beds super comfortable, great breakfast...good all the way around.
This hotel is in Sapphire, a short drive from Highlands and Cashiers, and close to most of the area's reserves and waterfalls. It is moderately priced for the area. You get great service. We called the day before to say we'd be checking in late. They texted us at 5 pm on the day of arrival to see when we would be in. When we got there, our keys were ready, check-in was about one minute, and we were in our rooms. Breakfast is in the main building in the lounge. When you arrive, a hostess asks how you want your eggs, then makes them for you. Coffee, tea, breads, bagels, muffins, and fruit are on the counter, and a refrigerator has all kinds of milk and cream for your coffee. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms have an open closet, refrigerator, and coffee station, TV, free WiFi, and a porch or balcony. There is also an outdoor grassy area with a fire pit. The service felt more like a hotel at twice the price. A great Italian restaurant, Osteria del Monte, is right next door.
