Experience the beauty of Highlands in this freshly decorated and well kept property! Escape to the beautiful luxury property "Bonnie Cottage"! This home is 1/2 mile from Half Mile Farm, perfect for families, sleeps 8 adults and 2 children comfortably with 3.5 baths with 2 huge garden tubs and 3 showers, 4 queen beds upstairs in 2 huge bedrooms, king bed in master bedroom with full en suite bath, finished basement is darling with ship lap and trundle bed and full rain shower! Winter view of Satula Mountain. Full kitchen with updated appliances and full size washer/dryer. Large double deck to sit and watch nature while you have a glass of wine or coffee! Being so close to town, you truly have the best of both worlds in this quiet mountain retreat! Wide plank hardwood floors throughout, fresh paint, large library with huge picture windows to sit and read and enjoy the natural beauty of the Highlands! Walk to downtown and Mirror Lake or make the short drive. If you are going in town to an event, or some thing, fancy or at night, you will want to drive and not walk. We do accept up to 2 well trained dogs with a $200 pet fee. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the beds. **Please note that we, thankfully, are not inside the zoning areas where short term rentals are being restricted In Highlands after 2023 and we do not support the actions of Town of Highlands in restricting our fellow short term rental neighbors in Highlands and have given money to their cause, even though we are outside the zoning restrictions. Because we are outside the zoning restrictions, we are accepting reservations for all of 2025.

This is a really nice home located perfectly for shopping and sight seeing in Highlands (just a few minutes away) and Cashiers (15 minutes). Very nice size home with plenty of space for folks to spread out - clean and easy to communicate with owners. We have rented this home multiple times.

Great stay! Was in town a friend’s wedding and stayed here with a small group of friends. House was spacious, clean, and had all that we were looking for. Also conveniently located to center of town which was a ~5 min drive. Can certainly recommend!

If we could give this rental more than 5 stars we would! The house was inviting, well-stocked, lovely and very comfortable. The location was great and the porch provided us with a lovely view! There were a lot of little extras such as books games, etc. Communication with owner was outstanding! I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Never have I experienced the degree of effort to which Wendi went to assure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed- really EVERYTHING we needed. My family and I had a wonderful stay in Bonnie's Cottage. Their communication was great and personable. The house is thoughtfully stocked and furnished. Relaxing mountain getaway

Lovely place to stay in a nice location. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful scenery. The beds were clean and comfortable as were the den furnishings. My husband loved the Library and the comfortable recliners. Coffee and coffee makers were provided including K-cups along with a welcome bag of snacks and bottle of wine. Wendi was very accommodating and promptly replied to all our questions. Would recommend highly and would like to stay there again.

Family Wedding Weekend

My husband and I have stayed in many VRBOs. This was by far the best. The house is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and extremely well-stocked. Wendi is a phenomenal host. She was so patient with me, and promptly responded to my questions as we planned our trip. The neighborhood and views are beautiful, our family couldn’t have been more comfortable. I highly recommend this listing, and I hope that we can return!

We could not have booked a better home for our stay in the Highlands! This place has it all! It is very spacious, from the living room, bed rooms, back yard porches, everyone was comfortable! It has a well stocked pantry, something we’ve not had before! We only used a few granola bars for a couple of hiking adventures but had so much more to use at our disposal! We were there for a family wedding and really our only disappointment was not enough downtime to spend enjoying the home! Oh and the art decorating the home was beautiful! Kuddos to having a very special place and will definitely look forward to coming back and booking again!

Bonnie Cottage Offers Stunning Views wrapped in A Cozy Home

Without question, the Highland area is certainly a gem! My family and I make it a point to visit the mountains yearly and our stay at Bonnie Cottage made that possible in the best way! The rooms are very well maintained with ample bedding and nice mattresses. Additionally, the kitchen is very well appointed with many baking/cooking accessories to whip up a quick meal for any travel-weary guests! Best of all, most of our group were fortunate enough to spy a mother bear and cub! I cannot speak enough about the beautiful home and its view, nor the thoughtfulness of the owners! Thank you for sharing your home to give us this wonderful vacation :)
