This centrally located condo is the perfect spot to host your next vacation. The canopy of monkey trees allows the the ocean peak through while offering plenty of privacy. Listen to the soft crash of the waves from your private lanai, while a gate off the back of the property leads directly to the beach. Or spend your days in the shared pool. Assorted beach gear is provided during your stay for maximum adventure potential!

Maunaloa Shores is a perfect home base for exploring East Hawaii and beyond. Enjoy multiple beach parks in the immediate area with Carlsmith Beach Park right next door, and Richardson’s, Onekahakaha, Leleiwi, and Four Mile beach parks all close by. Fine dining at the Seaside Restaurant is available right across the street. Historic downtown Hilo, with more restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, and entertainment, is just four miles away. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is 31 miles southwest. Major improvements to Saddle Road have drastically reduced the drive time between the east and west sides of the island, making cross-island day trips very reasonable.

Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location! Keypad to enter and lock condo. Super challenging.
We loved our stay. It was clean and. Great location. Details for check in were great. It would have been nice to have at least salt and pepper already there. Further, the keypad to enter the property took several tries to make it work. Not fun. Low battery? This needs to be addressed ASAP. Otherwise. Loved it. Thanks!

Enjoyable place to stay in Hilo
This property is located on beach row! You can snorkel right next door. The lanai is screened in and has a view through the trees of the ocean. Great place for morning coffee. I would stay here again...

What’s advertised is not what you get.
Unit is not clean, fridge was dead, they had a small bar fridge so obv they knew it wasn’t working. Horrible check-in as we had gone to Costco. VACASA property management really hard to get a hold of. Had to push to get a working fridge. Unit was not clean. Sand on the counters in the bathroom. Beach chairs were old. No cooler so we had to buy one. Absolutely no stock of cooking oils (usually there is some). Unit has a bad smell so you have to keep windows open all the time.

Had a great time in the apartment. Was nicer in person then in the pictures. Would have been nice to have some of the basics for cooking like, Olive Oil and salt and pepper. The lagoon/ tide pool next tot he property were also amazing.

Not as comfortable as other units we've stayed in at the same address. Map of parking stall helpful, in rain and dark. Double check entry code- both didn’t work. Utensils greasy, washed everything we used 1st. Patio slider needs service. Master B/R blinds not acceptable. No instructions for TV. Fridge doesn't work. Replacement mini fridge leaks. Extra kitchen towels helpful. Location great if you want peace & quiet, right on water. We'll return again, but not to this unit. Property Mgt needs to upgrade unit owner's responsibility to his guests.

February get away!
Really enjoyed Emerald Key 203! Sat on the balcony and watched the dolfins while we drank our coffee and took photos of great sunrises and sunsets!! We met super nice people and enjoyed how quiet it was. We would rent this condo again and again!!! We did a lot of cooking and would suggest some new frying pans.

Nice Place
This is a very nice older property. Great location for sight seeing. Beautiful view from bedroom and balcony. Beautiful beach park next door. The VACASA people are wonderful and helped with a couple of minor problems we had. I highly recommend this condo.

Great Stay
This property is in a great out of the way area. There is a great small beach area right next to the property and downtown Hilo is just down the road. We have system in this building before and spotless come back again. It had everything we needed.
