Proudly hosted by Island Rentals of Hilton Head, 3 Nighthawk is a charming 4th-row ocean home ideally located in the highly desirable North Forest Beach area of Hilton Head Island. Just a one-minute walk to the beach, this pet-friendly retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and classic beachside living. With a private pool, fenced yard, and close proximity to Coligny Plaza, this home is an exceptional choice for families and groups looking to enjoy the island lifestyle with ease.

Inside, the home is light-filled and welcoming with a relaxed, nautical-inspired design. The spacious kitchen and dining area greet you upon entry and are fully equipped for preparing meals and gathering together. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the living room, which features ample seating, a sleeper sofa, a flat-screen TV, a cozy fireplace, and views of the private pool just outside. The first-floor primary bedroom includes a king bed, flat-screen TV, and a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, offering comfort and privacy after a day at the beach.

Additional sleeping accommodations are thoughtfully arranged for flexibility and comfort. The main level includes a bedroom with two twin beds and a nearby bathroom with a shower and large garden tub, as well as another bedroom with a queen bed and twin trundle. Upstairs, the fourth bedroom features two double beds and its own flat-screen TV—perfect for kids or additional guests. Outdoors, enjoy your private pool, deck seating, and a stainless-steel gas grill, ideal for relaxing afternoons and evening cookouts. Pool heat is available between March and October for an additional fee.

Guests will appreciate the included conveniences such as four adult bicycles, four beach chairs, and a fenced yard for furry companions (maximum two dogs per stay). With instant beach access, bike-friendly paths, nearby parks with fountains for kids, and the dining, shopping, and entertainment of Coligny Plaza just minutes away, 3 Nighthawk offers an unbeatable North Forest Beach location for a memorable Hilton Head Island getaway.

We enjoyed the location of the property but felt it was not really suitable for the cooler temperatures that occurred. The main living room was always very cold while the bedrooms were stifling hot. This is caused by a terrible heating distribution and very poor seals on the windows. The kitchen was well appointed but would recommend the under counter lights by electrical and not battery operated. The main television was constantly losing connection and was often unable to reconnect without powering down time and again. We suspect this property is ideal for summer rentals but would not recommend it over the winter months.

This is our second time staying at 3 Nighthawk and it didn’t disappoint. The new renovations to the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms made it even better. It is extremely family friendly and pet friendly too. This rental has all the amenities you would ever need both inside and outside the house. The pool, bikes, and beach chairs were used everyday and saved us from packing extra items. We were allowed to check in early and that is a huge savings for us as we usually travel the day before so we are already on the island. The walk to the beach is perfectly short and the street is very calm and quiet. This has become one of our favorite rental properties on the island. Everything we need and more!

Ideal Location

The property was exactly as pictured. The pool was in the front yard but was well shielded by shrubs and trees and we got lots of use out of the pool which was very well maintained. The location was phenomenal, a few short steps to the beach and Coligny, which we thoroughly enjoyed and was a highlight of our stay. We were very comfortable in the house with just a few minor glitches but something that might effect others' stay. The outlets in the kitchen near the table did not work which was an issue when we first arrived as we were there for a month and my husband needed that space to work. We called and got a prompt response with 2 people coming out on 2 separate occasions only to find out the fix was a major fix that could not be done while we were there. An easy solution was an extension cord from the family room to the table. The other small issue was one of the beds on the second floor was very noisy. Anytime you moved the mattress made a lot of noise. There were plenty of other beds so we just didn't use that bed but if others need to use all the beds that could be a hindrance to a good night's sleep. Other than those 2 things which were very minor we had a fantastic stay. The fenced in yard was an added plus for our dog who loved sitting outside. Thank you so much for sharing your house. We truly did enjoy our stay.

Great beach getaway!

From the beginning of our stay everything was perfect. We were allowed to check in early and so appreciate that perk as we traveled 12 hours to get there so we loved having an extra day of fun in the sun. The house, set up, resources, pool and proximity to the beach made this the perfect beach getaway. We loved being able to bring our dog and found that the property was great being fenced in All in all the trip was perfect! We would definitely rent from Hilton Head Island Rentals again.

We only had one glitch, which was delayed trash service. We called the rental company and it was picked up within the hour. Great customer service! House was exactly as described…Would definitely rent again:)

Property was clean and well kept. Kids enjoyed tbe pool. From the driveway to the beach entrance it was a 30 second walk. Beautiful neighborhood. One mile bike ride to coligny square. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house, 1min walk to the beach

This was a great house, so close to the beach, It was only a 1 minute walk! The house had everything we needed. We brought our dog, it was nice to have the yard fenced in. There was a back door, which was convenient for bringing him in, and cleaning him up. The bikes included in the rental was great! You can get to the shops and restaurants down at Coligny in minutes! The house could use some updates, but all in all, we would definitely rent here again!

In Between

So let’s start with the positives- close to the beach and can bike to some great island restaurants. However, the property is in a very run down condition. The exterior is showing wear from the ocean environment and the landscaping is not very people or pet friendly. The interior isn’t any better. The kitchen is outdated, several outlets were not in working condition, bathrooms needed updating and there needs to be a indoor/outdoor rug to create an area upon entering the front door from the beach so not to track sand everywhere. We have been vacationing on HHI for years now and this is a home we will not return to.

Amazing location-that’s about it

This house was absolutely disgusting when we checked in! It did not look as though it had been cleaned for at least a month! The toilets were clean in the bathrooms, but everything else was gross. We would not even set our stuff on the counters until I wiped them down with Lysol. The kitchen needs to be gutted, I would never put anything in the cabinets, we lived off the counters. Had to purchase cleaning supplies as there were only a few swifter wet pads and no swifter to even clean it ourselves. One swipes across the kitchen floor and the pad was absolutely sickening disgusting! Had to mop the entire house before we would consider walking around it in, the railing on the steps had not been cleaned in forever and had grime stuck all over it. Windows had massive dog prints ( we also have a dog and love animals so that’s not an issue, my problem is the fact that if something so OBVIOUS right by the door was looked over, what else was not cleaned!) the location was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed that part of it. If you are looking for a clean, well maintained property you will be very disappointed in this home. Company was made aware of the lack of cleaning that is being done so hopefully they can make some changes. Also make note, if you have a dog that doesn’t like people make sure you pay attention because one morning a guy leaf blowing and picking up debris just walked right in the gated yard and started cleaning which was nice.. but, not if your dog doesn’t like people. Overall, this was not a good experience at all but after we cleaned the entire house we felt a little more comfortable but would not rent this house or from this company again. This was our second time renting from them, and very similar experience last time.. cleanliness was not a top priority in either case, will not rent from them again. LOVE Hilton head so very much, but the house you rent can make it break your vacation.

This house has some maintainance issues, as an older home will. We had a number of problems but the property manager was always there to help - or call a plumber or whatever was needed. It's pretty dated! However location to the ocean and shops/ restaurants and fenced yard for dogs makes it a great place to stay. Kitchen is adequate for cooking... a couple new appliances so I really can't imagine it without those! Its so close to the ocean it gets alot of hard use!

Great location

The property is in a great location. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. We found the house to be clean however I felt like the house had a musty smell. Definitely needs a good deep clean and some updating. The size of the house was just fine for our family. There was a couple of issues with the pool heater while we were there and the property management company was very responsive. I really appreciated that.

Great location.

We really enjoyed our week. Location is awesome. With that said, the kitchen needs to be updated. Stove needs to be replaced. The burner on button stays lit even though none are on. Burners are not level. The dishwasher is old. Lots of stains on the carpet, would be nice to have carpet replaced with vinyl. Would loved to have a outdoor blower to blow the palm berries from around the pool. They were a hazard for our pups. Overall, I would rent the home again. Location and the pool was amazing. Great vacation.

Great vacation rental

This rental was a perfect size for our family of 5 plus our dog. The yard is completely gated in and a nice size for a dog. The beach entrance is right at the end of the street. The house is in a nice neighborhood perfect for walking and biking.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Overall the place was perfect for us. The charm of the cottage, the pool and location were perfect. We had plenty of space for six adults. We like to cook at home and having a grill was was a perk. While the kitchen had all we needed, there were some things that need attention. The draws and cabinets were dated and did t open and close properly. There was only one potholder, some of the pans were dirty and we had to clean them before we could use them. Also there was a used pipe left in one of the bedrooms, lollipop sticks stuck to the floor and spider webs around some of the windows
