It was great. Accommodated our family perfectly!The only drawback was the sheets on the bed in the waster suite did not fit very well. Great time and wonderfully decorated and stocked unit.

Best Villa in Captain's Cove

We have stayed in a number or different units in Captain's Cove over the last several years and this, by far, was the nicest of them all. The unit was clean, totally updated and stylishly decorated. While there were only two of us staying there, we would have been happy to stay in any of the bedrooms. We LOVE the location, as it gives us the peacefulness of the lagoon morning and evenings and is only steps to the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the outstanding weather. No doubt, we will be back.

Super Relaxing

Condo was very nice and the updates done were really nice. Floorplan worked well for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and plates/glasses etc. Location is key for us in Palmetto Dunes and this unit checked that box. A really gorgeous place to stay. Will stay again next year!! A 2 min walk to beach/pool and less than 10 min to the general store. Be sure to rent bikes at Hilton Head Outfitters right across the street from the general store. Totally worth it to rent for a week. So many places to explore on the island with a bike!

Convenient location!

This property was a good as advertised on the site! The property was spacious. The beach and pool access was directly across the street.....which was so convenient! Stores and restaurants were just a mile away which was nice. I would definitely stay here again for all of these reasons.

Enjoyable vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The location was very convenient to the beach, pool, general store, tennis, golf, etc. It had all of the amenities we needed and was nicely decorated. The master bath is in need of a renovation, but it wasn’t a problem. The property management was a pleasure to work with, especially Jessica. They were very quick to respond when needed and checked-in regularly. We hope to return soon.

Comfortable Beach Living

My family and I spent a week at this property and had a wonderful visit to Hilton Head. We have young children (1, 4, 6) so we also had a set of grandparents up to help out - it fit everyone comfortably. The pictures are very accurate with the living space and it is very tastefully decorated. The hall bathroom has since been renovated however the master bath is a bit outdated but functional. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of silverware, serving platters, and utensils. Whenever I stay somewhere for the first time I always bring along my essentials (large pot for low country boil, baking sheets, coffee pot, etc.) just in case the property doesn't have something I need. I was pleasantly surprised with how stocked the kitchen was (mixer, crockpot, good mix of pots and pans). There was a piece broken off of the drip coffee pot so I was thankful that we brought our own - but it also had a Keurig available for use. The rental company called us early in the week to ask us how things were at the property and offered to come out right away to fix anything that was needed. We also realized we left something on the property after check-out and the company was easy to work with to retrieve the items. We had stayed at Captain's Walk before so were familiar with Captain's Cove being right across the street. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, use of the pool at Captain's Walk, and the convenience of a keypad on the door so you didn't have to worry about carrying around a key all week. This property had everything we needed to accommodate our family during this vacation week comfortably and we would definitely choose to say here again! Would highly recommend!

Great location, great home

We loved our stay at this home. The photos were accurate and the home was so comfortable. Beautifully decorated, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach but with pool access as well. We loved sitting on the back deck and watching the activity on the lagoon. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Palmetto Dunes

The house was in a perfect location and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again! It was cozy and had everything we needed for the kitchen. A great spot on the lagoon to see the wildlife. A short walk across the road for the pool and ocean. Close to the tennis courts and a great location to bike around.

Thanksgiving week at Hilton Head

This was a family vacation with 4 adult kids ages 19-24 and 2 parents. The location in Palmetto Dunes was perfect. The condo is situated on the lagoon side which is very peaceful and pretty but just a short walk across the parking lot is the beautiful beach and ocean. The grounds are lush and green with bicycle paths everywhere around the area. We rented bikes for the week and rode all over the resort and on the beach which has packed sand perfect for cycling and walking. The general store has ice cream and necessities and plenty of amenities available close by like pickleball and tennis courts, restaurants and, golf. The condo was nice and roomy, decorated nicely with inexpensive furniture. Plenty of space for us all to sit. We did not have a remote all week for HD - Netflix etc. when we called someone to come out, they said someone the house cleaners misplace them but never offered to replace it. We did t watch much tv anyway except sports but would have been nice to have available. You can not get to the condo without first picking up a car pass and this requires an additional stop off location. It was an inconvenience and another stop after a 10 hour drive. Wish they could have left the pass at the guard station for us or mailed it to us ahead of time to print off at home. Overall, this is a wonderful condo in a beautiful community and we would definitely love to return. The whole family loved it and we got lucky with 75 * and sunny over Thanksgiving week.

Very nice vacation stay!

Very nice townhome. Loved that it was all one level. New furnishings. Was lacking on pots in kitchen, but told management and they sent over a whole new set of pots and pans! Backyard area was great. Saw several alligators and lots of amazing birds. Short walk to pool and beach. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Hilton head will be our family vacation from this point going forward

Beautiful, majestic, family friendly vacation environment. The grounds in Palmetto Dunes were stunning with so much wild life and beautiful landscape. Our condo was super clean and beautifully decorated. It was a nice size with a private entrance and three out door porches. We were very pleased with everything! Especially the very short walk to the beach.

Decor is just lovely! (Read = Coastal not beachy) Washer/ dryer are large and work well. View to lagoon is peaceful and felt a nice breeze on back porch. Beds were comfy. Thermostat is set (locked) by owner at 72; I was plenty cool enough but my husband felt hot at night. There are fans in the closet of each bedroom that I noticed as we packed to leave. Water pressure is good as long as two showers are not used at the same time. Kitchen is well stocked with a table for six ready to go. The best part was just how welcoming and special the decor feels -updated furnishings and flooring, very tasteful. Also the property owners have connected with a local vacation agency that is available by text or call for any issues that come up for renters - I feel this is a huge plus - like being in a hotel but much more space. We had an issue with our smoke alarm battery chirping and a crew person serviced it right away. The unit has single cup maker (with K-pods) and drip coffee pot. A limited number of beach towels available - if bringing several people bring extra. Plenty of bath towels. Across the street is Captains Walk high rise condominiums, and this is your pool and beach access. Chairs and umbrella on beach for rent ($38/day for umbrella and two chairs). Was not crowded for us - very low key!

Wonderful week at a beautiful property

My husband, our 11 year-old daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 490 Captain's Cove. The home was beautifully and comfortably decorated--one of the nicest we've rented in our years of visiting the island (since the late 70's for my husband and to my time living on the island in the 80's and 90's). We return at least once each year and would definitely rent this property again. It's wonderful to be able to park outside the front door! The beach is a quick walk across the road and beside the Captain's Walk pool. My husband loved being able to fish in the lagoon in the backyard. Our daughter and I spent time on the screened porch playing cards during a rainstorm--a nice option! Our only 'issue' during the week was that the Captain's Walk pool was way too hot, reading 95*. The rental company was a breeze to work with. Thank you! Hope to stay with you again.

2019 vacation

Very disappointed in the cleanliness inside the condo. Both bathrooms were dirty; master sink, tub, toilet had dirty soap, shampoo, etc. left from previous tenants! Master toilet water kept running when flushed so had to remove tank cover to flush. Master bath floor had dark body hairs & smudge marks. Rugs were dirty too. Hall bath sink drain stopper didn’t drain. All dirty as the master bath! Kitchen floor was sticky & smudged (looked like someone walked on it with wet/muddy shoes). We will not stay again for the price!
