This was my first time booking a Vacasa home through Vrbo and unfortunately it will be my last as I did not have a good experience during the trip. The house was beautiful but had some issues. For example, there was mold on the ceiling and the fans did not work in the house, one of the sliding glass doors on the patio did not work, a panel on the kitchen cabinet fell off the first day we got there, and the WiFi was not available at any time during our stay. The kitchen was not well stocked nor easy to cook in - most of the pans were nonstick but the nonstick coating was scratched off and flaking off on the bottom so they could not be used. The support team I was working with was friendly, but did not actually fix issues in a timely manner, or at all. It seemed they were limited in what they could actually do to resolve an issue. They certainly were not able to answer the questions I had about the property, such as where the switch was to turn on the light in the pool. The support team also told me that the WiFi was not working for the entire island for the entire week we were there, which was simply not true. I will not be booking through a third party in the future, but will book directly with an owner instead as I felt it was very difficult to get a straight answer from anyone and no one was able to address the issues we experienced during our trip.

Ok place to stay. Beware of Vacasa Management!! They’ll steal from you!

Being just short walk to the beach was great but that was about it. Old house, that needs some work. Several doors didnt close. Mostly clean and bug free. Major appliances worked. The coffee pots were very gross like they have never been cleaned so we didnt use them. The most infuriating part about our stay was working w/ Vacasa management. When we booked our stay in Feb we asked if we could heat the pool. They said yes & charged me 435. Once we arrive on 5/24 we tested out the pool & it felt cool. We figured it was because it was a cloudy day or they just turned it on for our stay that it hadn’t warmed up yet. We waited it out & it was still cold. I contacted Vacasa and asked if they could have someone come check that the heater was on & that’s when I was told that the owners did not allow the pool to heated after Memorial Day. If I never would have contacted them they would have stolen 435 from me! I asked several times to have a sup call me but never got a call. They said we would be eligible for a FULL refund but they only processed partial. I had to call them and sit on hold for 45 mins to get to a sup & then they finally gave me the remaining refund. They didn’t have a reason why they charged us to begin with. Worst experience ever b/c of that I will NEVER stay at a place that is managed by them. The owners also had a very large package of new furniture delivered that blocked entry during our stay that took 3 people to move. Very inconsiderate and rude for your guest

Great location but could use an update

We loved the location of this house but felt as though it could use an update. The furniture on the front porch was rusted and unstable. The inside of the house needs a deep clean, there were some cob webs in the window frames. The bedding and towels were clean. We loved the view from the living room front windows and the walk to the beach was easy.

Fabulous time in Hilton Head

The house is in a great location, close to the beach, quiet neighborhood, and easy access to Coligny Plaza that has excellent food choices. The spacious kitchen and family room allowed us to enjoy time with family. The experience would be better if the fenced in yard went to ground level. We had to keep our dog on a leash in the fenced yard. Also, we encountered two cockroaches thus making sure our food was kept in sealed containers.

Christmas Trip with Family and Pet

We took a last minute trip to Hilton Head for Christmas break with the kids. The house was exactly what we had expected and had plenty of room for our 6 people. The location was great. Close enough to the shops that the kids could ride their bikes there and also to the beach. Easy walk to the beach. Wish the weather was a little warmer but we really enjoyed the trip. Thanks!

Very nice home with lots of room for our large group. It was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of room to park our four cars. We would recommend this home to future guests. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home.

Perfect location and pool!!!

If you aren’t on the ocean great location perfect walk to beach, close to everything. Pool was excellent before, after or break in middle of day. House adequate and dog enjoyed vacation with family. House well lived in and in need of care soon. Snakes beside pool and under deck, made sure to be first one out to scare them off. The last evening my wife saw one on the deck. Could have been problematic if they had been cited earlier in week.

The house is in a great location and very comfortable . The pool and backyard can use some cleaning and updating . The house itself was clean but We did have to deal with some roaches which was a little disturbing . Overall we had a great experience .

Great Place but with Unwanted Critters

Loved the house and location. Unfortunately, the house had roaches. The property manager had the house sprayed hours after we reported the problem, but unfortunately we still had encounters afrerward.

Great location!

Overall a great experience because we were there with family. Pool is beautiful, though we didn't get to enjoy it. Place needs a welcoming homey feeling. The master bedroom wall with bifold doors should be a closed in wall to allow for privacy and silence from below. Lots of roof leaks which account for lots of ceiling stains and peeling. We saw the notice for roof repair. The floorboard is missing in the bedroom leading to the pool. Someone will eventually fall through it, very dangerous, that entire floor doesn't feel secure. You need a kitchen island to aide in prep work and for closer proximity to the stove. And fix the oven panel - you guys are holding it together with scotch tape, really! Lack of seasonings and some basic essentials in the kitchen make it really hard to make it work in the kitchen. Guess we've been spoiled in the past with other locations we've spent vacations at. Door connecting bunk beds to bathroom has a loose door knob and door doesn't close properly. Bunk bed mattresses really uncomfortable per my 24 year old son. Faucet in the upstairs bathroom is loose. The house needs a complete overhaul. I felt like I stayed in a Super 8 with Marriott rates. What made it great was to be together with my children and granddaughter. We got to enjoy a great walk on the beach, I'm glad it was close to it.

Beautiful property

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Great location in a really nice neighborhood. It’s very close to the beach, tons of restaurants, and shops. Our family really enjoyed their stay and can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely perfect

Everything was exactly as we hoped. The house was very clean, the amount of rooms and overall space was perfect for everyone to be comfortable, and the location was perfect. Just a short walk away from the beach. Everyone loved the pool (which was surprisingly very deep FYI), and having a fenced backyard was so great since we brought our pup. Will definitely go back, our family really enjoyed it!

Home Not Ready to Rent

Unbelievably poor maintenance / cleaning. mold and mildew everywhere on the exterior. Pool loaded with leaves and sand. Interior poorly cleaned too and strong musty odor on first floor.

Uncomfortable beds turned dangerous

We loved the location of this home & had a great time staying here... until, on night 2 we had a serious safety issue with the bunk beds. The slats of the top bunk fell out from under the top bed. The person sleeping in the top bunk literally fell with the bed to the ground! They got bruised up very badly from the fall. This changed our sleeping arrangements for 2 people and left us feeling unsafe in the surviving beds as they were all quite cheap. After reaching out to Vacasa regarding this we were told “Sorry this happened. We’ll have maintenance fix it.” That’s it! I have never stayed in a home where something so serious took place & received such lack of diligence or care on the renters part! Very disappointed with Vacasa!

North Forest Beach

The property was perfect, the PM was not responsive, but finally came the 2nd week to deal with broken TV, bulbs out. My husband cleaned the AC vent which was 3 “ thick with dust. We did quite a bit of cleaning as the house was done with a quick once over and not a deep clean. We did enjoy the area though. It was perfect for our needs.

Enjoyed our stay

This home had plenty of room with a nice large kitchen, and dining room. Lots of natural light. Good supply of towels. Full size washer and dryer. Location was great...three minute walk to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Few people on the beach at this location. The pool was great, just the right temperature. However, there was no light in the pool. We had a lovely time, and would rent this home again.
