“I enjoyed our time here I would stay again.”

“We had a high school bass tournament at Jimmie Davis State Park. But as usual, all the cabins at JDSP were booked. This gem of a place, PawPaw’s Place, was better than imagined. We were a family of four sharing with another family of three and it worked out perfectly. It was close to the tournament and places to eat. The owner, Dawn Scott, gave us all of the information before the trip, and then again the day we were traveling. She gave things to do, places to go and eat and everything you need……

“My sister and I brought our 85 yo mother to watch our nephew(her grandson) play baseball for Louisiana Tech! The owners were awesome to deal with!! VERY HELPFUL! The house is old but nice and the location was the best! Thank you”

“Everything was great. The room was neat and stocked with towels, etc. Mary was responsive to communications and the property was easy to get in and out of. Sarina is the sweetest caretaker on the planet and made sure we had everything we needed. Would book again.”

“On the upside - great location; loved the covered boat stall and dock; beds were comfortable; plenty of parking for boat trailer; A/C works! Plenty of towels & cookware. On the downside - the frig was full of food that had been left from previous visitors - like long ago visitors. We thru out everything that had stuff growing on it. The shower head was not adjustable so a bit uncomfortable. This was our second time going and we will definitely go back.”

“Wonderful stay and beautiful place. Loved the extra thought the owners put with the welcome snacks/coffee/makeup wipes. That was a lifesaver since we came in late that night. The book with instructions was very helpful. Linens on the bed were wonderful and bed itself was comfortable. We will book again! Matter of fact even before I left I was looking at dates we could book again! The owner responded quickly to any comments/messages I sent. Thanks again for an amazing stay!”

“Modern loft-type feel. Well-decorated, had everything one could possibly need. The shower was to die for! Exceptionally clean, centrally located, and had locked gate access for extra protection. I certainly recommend and would love to stay there again.”

“Beautiful home. We travel the country for softball & this is one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed in. Home was large enough for everyone to spread out. All beds are brand new & very comfortable. Kitchen & both baths fully stocked. The most stocked home we have ever stayed in. Home is close to Grambling State. We were in town for a softball tournament at Ruston Sportsplex which is only 10 min away.”

“Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good. However, there were men hanging out in the back parking lot, drinking and playing loud music, it kept us awake for most of the night. I call front desk about it and was told they would try to make them turn their music down but it didn’t work! They were pretty much wasted. When I pay $175 a night for a hotel I would love to have a peaceful nights sleep. I understand that it’s not the employees fault but it was a very restless night. Also, people……
