Property has great views. But none of the things worked. The hot tub did not heat, the grill didn’t work and the propane heater was not working as well. This property could definitely be a 4 or 5 star, but the main reason I got it was to just stay there and relax.

Quiet with Great Views

Place was nice, cozy, quiet, and had great views. Hot tub was great. Adrian helped us out when we had trouble with the heater and got the place nice and warm just in time for the snow, also supplied us with wood just in case which was much appreciated. Will visit again.

Overall good experience

Was a little rocky checking in but they made sure we were happy and were more than accommodating and kind. I would definitely stay here again and work with them again.

Nice but ....

It's nice, but slept terrible, everything was great but just a few things, the hot tub did not get as hot as it should. The staff was great and sent someone out but it's an older hot tub couldn't fix heat. Also the bed down stairs was AWFUL!!! Tried then to slept up stairs and bed was hard as a rock. Sleeping on a mini get away is essential, really bummed me out, cuz everything else was great. Was on a culdesac and very quiet and very clean!

Amazing, quaint and beautiful property!! Mountain views that are out of this world. A charming home.

No Privacy

Neighbor on the right looks at you through their wondow. Made for a very uncomfortable stay. Houses are very close with little privacy. Check in process is outdated. Recommend shifting to Docusign for rental agreement and other documents that require signature. Recommend shifting to smart locks on the cabin doors to facilitate an easier check in/out process. Had an unprofessional experience with the rental company. Pictures of house are outdated.

Family get together

Great time. Highlights were relaxing on the patio with a spectacular view, mellowing out in the jacuzzi while admiring nature and cozying with the family playing games. We enjoyed the visiting the town of Idyllwild and a hike at the nature center. Thank you for sharing a great place.

Perfect getaway

The cabin was really cute, cozy and the view was gorgeous. The hot tub on the patio was such an added bonus. There were plenty of towels and blankets, which was really nice. The biggest downside was that the beds were not the most comfortable and the stairs were a little worrisome. The steps were very narrow, so you really had to hold the rail and watch your step.

Amazing view

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and absolutely fell in love with property. The view was so amazing. Will definitely rent this place again. The town of idyllwild is so great and very friendly. Highly recommend this property.

Beware of False Advertisement/ Bait & Switch

Im compelled to leave my honest/thorough review as I do not want any other guests seeking cleanliness, desperate for relaxation & comfort to waste time and hard-earned money on this subpar property. We paid holiday rates for Valentines wknd also. Upon arrival our hearts sunk-we noticed immediately photos New Spirit Vacation Homes published were NOTHING like we walked into. Lamps w burnt out bulbs,couches stained/collapsed, reclining footrest busted, area rug stained. Property advertised as having a fully equipped kitchen,grill w BBQ tools provided and internet service. ALL FALSE The 2 wine glasses provided were in fact not wine glasses and were even cracked! We had just bought wine from the local winery/art gallery and wanted to sit outside on the deck to enjoy. We prepared for our 4 day/3 night stay and brought lots of groceries as we were celebrating the wknd and hoping to relax after a recent unfortunate family emergency so we remained positive & hopeful! We contacted the 2 numbers provided and were given diff responses by 2 diff people over our concerns. Instead of being met with compassion we were given more false info and argued with,ultimately told someone would come the next am to fix things and bring items not provided.UGH! Against our better judgment we said OK and stayed. Mistake! Would you consider pile of blankets stuffed into a duvet a mattress?? We were bit by spiders and found webs over the bed. We left first thing in the am! I did make owners aware again.

Know what you’re getting

The most important thing to know about this cabin is that if you’re looking for an open and spacious floor plan, this is definitely not that. The living room and kitchen are completely separate and both on the small side. There is no dining room and the only place to sit and eat is at the small kitchen table. The living room does have a nice wood burning fireplace but the two sofas are worn out and very saggy in places. The TV (only one in the cabin) is small and internet only. They should also have cable as an option for more ease of use. The master bedroom is decent size but desperately needs the bed to be updated. It’s very saggy and very uncomfortable. The master bathroom is also small and very confining. The other hall bathroom a little bigger. The two bedrooms upstairs are decent size. The one standout of this cabin is the exceptional mountain views and very large deck in the back. Just wish you could see the view more from the inside. It’s just pretty much when you’re sitting at the small kitchen table. Overall this cabin is just ok. Would not stay here again due to layout and worn out furniture.

Amazing view!

The view is so gorgeous and the deck is really beautiful! We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on the deck, enjoying the fall weather--that was really perfect. A few minor things: The hot tub doesn't get super hot no matter how we turned the knob. It was still useable though. Also, not nearly enough lighting, the living room in particular is really dim in the evening so we ended up bringing in some table lamps from the bedrooms so we could see! Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy Idyllwild!

Nice Experience with Small Issue

Overall the rental property was a good experience: the property was as advertised and had enough room for six of us to hang out. Communication with the property manager and anyone from New Spirit was very easy and everyone was nice. The only issue we had was that when we arrived the floor was somewhat dirty with what seemed like sand, and there were a good amount of ants present, but other than that it was a nice trip.

VRBO Stay

Loved the location and home that we stayed in. The place was clean and everything went well. I had no issues with the rules of the place. I just hope that I didn't put the towels in the wrong bathroom.
