From this location we were able to get to premier hikes so quickly, arriving before all the crowds. “The property was a self contained second floor unit. We had a view of the ocean and a short walk to a beautiful beach. The property was spotless, well equipped and had a bbq on the balcony which had chairs for 4 people. There were other cottages and units but the development was well laid out.”

“We originally booked the cottage to do some hiking, however trails in NS were closed due to risk of wildfires, understandable. We still had an awesome time, drove the Cabot trail, went to the beach, explored the area. We will be back and will definitely stay here again. The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had all necessary tools, everything was clean, the space was cozy. ”

“Maude’s place is a beautiful, cozy house with a lovely view. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, watching the boats and birds. A small beach is right at the end of the driveway and a nice place for a short walk. The kitchen was well equipped. The national park is nearby and has many wonderful trails to hike. We thoroughly our stay and hope to be able to visit again soon!”

“The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. “The cabin we stayed at was private with beautiful views of the ocean. We enjoyed watching the seals in the morning and evening at our own overlook with coffee or wine. The host, Ton, was friendly, welcoming and makes a great pannenkoeken for breakfast if you choose to eat at his restaurant. Overall a great start to our vacation and a good base for exploring Cape Breton. ”
