「A beautiful property in a very quiet village, which we loved. A really good base to travel around the Isle of Skye. Breakfast was fab too! We stayed in the manse house and had a large room with double aspect. Great bathroom. Shower was amazing!」
「Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening.
Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon).
Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.」
「If you are looking for a place to stay on Islay that offers a comfortable and beautiful setting, complimented by great food and friendly and helpful staff, look no further. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and the attention to detail throughout the property was evident at every turn. The grounds, in particular the walk to the beach, were well done and drew us in for regular strolls.
Didn't play golf this time, but have in the past . . . highly recommended.
All told, five wonderful days.」
「Good check in, nice room. Unfortunately as a Monday restaurant & bar closed. Socket for kettle faulty LH near table. Could close window so wind funnelled through. Good room, perfect for the golf course.」
「We had a nice, large bedroom and the bed was comfortable, however, the bathroom was smaller than a cruise ship! My husband is 6’5” and his head hit the shower ceiling. We almost had to sit sideways on the toilet because the towel warmer was so close. There were no towel bars to dry your towels, yet they want you to conserve water and use it again (which is not a problem when my towel is dry!). The hotel felt “dated”. Breakfast was nice except for the eggshells in the scrambled eggs. We even had...
「Staff was kind and friendly. Our room was not clean, the sheets were stained and it was a very dark, dingy room with a view of a parking alley and no water. There was absolutely no parking. Rather than telling us they offered valet they had us drive around looking for parking (there is none that’s not max 2hrs that we could find). When we returned unsuccessful we saw a sign for valet and asked about that and were then offered valet parking for $25/night which we chose to do. That basically meant...
