This place was sooo good. I haven't stayed in a 2 star hotel in ages. This one felt like it should have two extra stars. Amazingly attentive friendly service, lovely breakfast, turndown service, and they even sorted a packed lunch when I had to leave before breakfast. Would recommend this over a Premier Inn anyday...

The location was excellent for visiting the churches, the train and bus stations, and local bars with music. This is a small, family run hotel and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast food choices and quality each morning.

The hotel was as advertised. We were only able to book a compact double, and as warned it was very small. And the bed was a small double, not a queen or 2 twins pushed together. There was barely room for our suitcases on the floor. It was an older hotel with only the bare basics in the room. The gentleman who greeted us was very nice. Breakfast was nice. Beware that parking is not included and very limited. You can only pay to park for 1 hour on the street in front of the hotel, except overnight which is free until 8am. Just be prepared. I would not stay here again as there were other reasonably priced hotels on the same street that probably would have offered more room and a better bed!

The location is brilliant - close to the river and the train station as well as the Victorian Market and all the restaurants & shops. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. There are lots of options for breakfast and my choice was cooked to perfection. Iain was very welcoming and helpful. I'd highly recommend.
