The room was in tiptop condition and the staff were great! The location of the hotel being at a walkable distance to important points of Inverness was fabulous.
Nice & clean hotel that runs more like a B&B than hotel, with staff that make you feel very welcome. Excellent location to get anywhere you need to in Inverness via foot, bus, or train.
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Plenty of breakfast options and helped to sort an early breakfast out for when we had a coach trip to the Isle of Skye
Great family run hotel. The room was spotless and Ian was very accommodating and provided early breakfast for us on both days as we had early departures. We would stay there again if we return to Inverness.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The Clansman hotel is in a great location near the train station and central Inverness. Staff/owners were accommodating and helpful. A clean, but older facility.
When you first arrive at the MacDougall Clansman Hotel, you might notice that the property feels a bit dated. However, what it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for with incredibly kind and personal service.
Iain was such a gracious host — always checking in to see if we needed anything and making sure we were well taken care of. His warmth and hospitality truly made our stay memorable.
The location is excellent — very central, yet surprisingly quiet — and there’s even a superb bookshop right next door, which was a lovely bonus.
Overall, this is a charming and comfortable place to stay in Inverness, thanks to the genuine care and hospitality of the people who run it.
Extremely pleasant and hospitable staff with old timey charm. While not an updated facility, it was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast service was an added perk. I would absolutely recommend it and would stay again should I return to Inverness.
The area was great! It's walkable to a lot of locations, but the real star of our trip was the owner of the hotel - who truly was outstanding!! Made us feel welcome so welcomed! Breakfast (which was fantastic) was just an added bonus. I would stay here again!
This hotel is right on Church Street and right in the middle of all the shops, pubs, etc. The owner was absolutely fantastic and so accommodating. We left very early for Edinburgh and he left out a kettle to make coffee, toaster, bread, cereals and other snacks because we were missing the breakfast that was included in the price.
A perfect, European-style hotel in a great location in Inverness. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and had a varied selection. We enjoyed what felt like an authentic experience in the city.
