"Nice and quiet, a bit remote but only 25 minutes from attractions like Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Excellent fly fishing opportunity nearby- famous Lake Mentieth is only two miles away."

However, we encountered an unexpected issue. The property is spread over two levels, upon arrival, we naturally explored the space. "We were instantly upgraded due to a leak caused by storm Amy in our room. The staff were so good and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was wonderful, we had the full Scottish breakfast and enjoyed a lovely meal and cocktails in one of two bars. Can’t fault this place! I’d go back for sure! "

My only critique is that the dinner service was a bit slow and the menu felt like poor value for money, but we enjoyed the fish pie and chicken schnitzel. Breakfast was exceptional!"
