Small but comfortable guest house on the harbor. Few amenities and only a few restaurants in walking distance, but within easy reach of Troon by car. An affordable option if you are travelling in the region by car.

Very good, simple instructions to gain access, quiet and cosy room. Very powerful shower, comfy bed and good size TV. Wifi was good and strong, simple desk and shelving perfect for a few nights. Great location 5 mins from shops and train station. Plenty of food options near by and bar too. Perfect for the maritime museum.

Room was spotless, Nick communicated very clearly, hassle free in and out. Room had hairdryer, kettle etc. Clean towels, bed was very comfortable. Ensuite was fine, great water pressure in the shower. Very reasonably priced and parking on the street, would definitely stay again.

Brilliant stay

Loved it. Only the one night but really happy with check in and communication. Very very clean room and shower room . Never had a shower but looked like the shower head holder was broken? Maybe not? Really comfy bed. If back in Irvine I will book again.

Lovely little guest house

We had a lovely stay. The room was beautifully decorated and equipped. It was clean, comfortable and warm. There was plenty of off road parking outside the hotel. Situated perfectly for both shops and lovely coastal walks. Plenty of nice places to eat. We would highly recommend the Harbour Guest House and would stay again.

Booked double room which was very small, small double bed against one wall which made it difficult to get out of bed to use toilet without disturbing partner. On the plus side it was very clean and had tea & coffee making facilities. Ok for one night stay but wouldn’t want to stay for longer.

Perfect

Very clean and quiet and in a lovely location, right opposite the harbour. Free parking outside. A pub selling food 30 seconds away and a restauraunt and pub at the end of the road near a lovely natural beach. 8 minute walk from the town centre.

Nice place, and friendly helpful owner

Easy check-in, nice clean and quiet room. Unfortunately, I accidentallydamaged what I thought was the bathroom flush, and contacted Nick straight away. He told me not to worry at all, and explained that he would sort the problem out when he arrived. Fantastic owner, I would imagine that certain other people would take advantage of this and try and request extra payment. I would recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again.

Well maintained

Very clean guest house. Maintained to a high standard. The rooms are quite small but adequate. Everything you need. The best shower anywhere we have ever stayed. On road parking but never an issue to park. Plenty if places to eat. Only annoying thing was it took quite a few attempts to get in with the key pad.

Decor, facilities and the check in process was excellent. Bathroom was too small for my liking. Can’t give an assessment on the staff as I never met them. Calls into question the focus of some aspects of the questionnaire if the only contact was a remote online process.
