"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! One major perk for us (traveling by car) was the garage parking and the ability to park the car earlier than check in and keep it a little later after check out, that was so helpful to us! We also loved the included breakfast (something for everyone) and felt like we had what we needed in our room, though we did find the shared twin bed to be extra small for two people to share, even by the expected Japan standards. Overall, the convenience of the location (proximity to train stations/tranquil neighborhood/familymart within 2min walk/on-site parking) made this a win for us and a place we’d come back to again on a visit to Kyoto!"

"This property was so nice and spacious. I heard that would be a challenge coming to Japan and this exceeded my expectations. They have many amenities and we opted for breakfast each morning which was amazing. This was for my honeymoon and my husband loved it just as much as I did."

"This place is amazing! I stayed here with 4 other people and it was perfect. There is plenty of room for more people but since there is only one shower you’ll need to make a schedule for bathing if you are bringing a larger group. Check in was a little confusing. I was told the keys were left in the mailbox ahead of time but the sign on the door asked us to contact the property before we entered. When I contacted them all they said was the keys are in the mailbox. I assume it was a google translate problem with the sign. Other than that the process was smooth. Just a heads up they will enter the property every 2 days to take out the trash and make the beds. It’s about a 5 minute walk from the JR station and a 7 minute walk from the metro. It’s very convenient but both will be busy during the day so plan to taxi with your luggage when checking in or out. The area is very quiet after about 5-6pm and very enjoyable to walk around when all of the tourists leave"

"We stayed here 1 night for easy access to Nintendo Museum. Check in is 4pm and our reservation was 4.30, so we were worried it'd be a bit tight. We let the host know and the team were great at getting us checked in quickly and smoothly and set up for our museum trip. Honestly we're a bit sad we only stayed 1 night! It feels like staying in someone's house and the local neighborhood is quiet but still has restaurants and shops nearby. Walking along the canal in the morning we had a lovely chat with a local. Wish we'd stayed more than 1 night so that we could get a feel for Ogura, which is close to Kyoto and Osaka, but still feels like staying where people live. Lovely little find this!"

"It was a lovely home. The space was as pictured. Initially, I was concerned I wouldn't find the property because I'm unfamiliar with how homes are placed in Japan, but the host provided a great map. Also, Google Street View helped. I will say that my kid and I have sensitive noses and a neighbor was smoking outside. We were able to smell the smoke and initially thought the smell was from the property. Just so you know it's not the property and the smell does go away."
