“Idyllic setting to celebrate a milestone birthday. The chateaux and grounds are impeccably kept. Dinners on the balcony set over the Vezere river were a highlight. ”

“Bel endroit confortable et propre, de charme, avec espaces nombreux etcbelle cuisine tres bien equipee. 2 piscines bien prtotegees. Belles vues. Ce n est pas la plus belle Dordogne à mon sens et les points d intérêt sont au moins à unre heure de route. Le proprietaire m avait assuré que le tennis serait un peu réhabilité mais cela n a pas été le cas. ”

“Amazing place to stay! Host was very communicative, check-in was easy (she met us there), great kitchen. Plenty of bathrooms, and everything was clean. I hope to come back someday!”

“The Manoir d’Isly was delightful. It has spacious rooms with high ceilings, 4 en-suites and 2 family shower rooms, lovely places for dining inside and out and a well-equipped kitchen. The pool, 2 table tennis tables, trampoline and baby-foot were great for the kids (aged 9-14).The attic bedroom with 4 beds is rather hot in the height of summer - luckily we didn’t need to use it. Fans are provided which is great.Excideuil has plenty of local activities including canoeing, tennis, running,……

“We were with 8 adults and had a lovely stay in the Perigord region with quiet surroundings. Just the sound of a lot of birds keeps you awake during the day. The castle is very well equipped and decorated and not to big, neither to small. It fits the number of guests very good. You can visit several nice little towns(one or two stars Michelin!) but make cycle or walking tours as well. In short: lovely castle and park, everything you need is there.”

“We are two families 4 adults and 4 children (age 6-10) and have recently stayed for 1 week at Chateau Madame. Our first view of the chateau was from its imposing position on the hillside which could be seen from several kilometres away basking in the evening sun as we approached. There is a 400m meandering drive up the hillside toward Chateau Madame that provides a secluded and safe setting. The external grounds were ideal for spending the hot weather with ample shaded areas especially as we……

“We had a wonderful time at this location. Beautiful surroundings, a lovely castle, and a house with a pool. Upon arrival, a few things were amiss, and these were addressed and resolved immediately. So the service was very good. The location is good, 4* For a 5* review we advise the owners to do more in terms of maintenance.”

“Nous avons passé 10 jours extraordinaires entre famille et amis dans ce chaleureux et superbe lieu. Quel endroit idéal pour être au calme, se ressourcer dans la nature mais aussi pour passer un moment de qualité à plusieurs. “We chose Château de Moncieux as the venue for a big family holiday - for our children and grandchildren. We were not disappointed. We were fortunate to have good weather and the pool was the focus of all our activities. There was plenty of space in the house for everyone to lose themselves when they wanted to and the lounges were huge and comfortable as wee the bedrooms. Victor, the caretaker, was very friendly and helpful when needed. An excellent holiday venue”
